Jei looked slowly around the training area and was pleased to see nobody was there. He moved to a spot he liked under a tree and slipped off his shirt laying it neatly folded over a branch. Carefully he stepped away from the tree and sat slowly down cross legged making sure he could see all around him his mind needing clearing as he closed his eyes he focused on his breathing making it slowly and rhythmic as if he was barely breathing.
After a while he stood up and rolled his shoulders taking a wooden sword he held it up in front of him then flicked it back and forth, then when he was ready he moved it around his body it hugged body as he moved but yet never came into contact with him. his hands moved out as if swiping at an unseen enemy. His eyes staid closed as he moved not hearing what was going on in the camp but only feeling the slow yet quickening actions of his own movements. As he moved he heard soft steps walking toward him and he slowed not wanting to hurt whoever it was that walked close to him.

Chris was hearing something going on in the arena and was quite curious about it as his faithful cat was propped like always on his shoulder even though it seemed that the cat was to big to even be on his shoulder. Still he walked with purpose and curiosity to boot. His jet black hair laying flatly on his head as the echoing of his feet made noise on the cut path leading to which he didn't even know that his pet had climbed down and was walking next to him. Finally seeing the one who was assigned as the weapons trainer of the camp making his blood seem to boil with battle fever as it was for it always went like this when needing to get in touch with his battle skills and that which was taught to him it wasn't long until Chris was standing right at the cut of the entrance to where Jei was practicing his own fighting abilities even though he had slowed down the movements could still see what the movements where and it made him even curiouser about what this Weapons Trainer had in plan for the camp and of what War Games would be put to the task of all other Vea Demigods around in this camp. The big cat which looked like a small blackened tiger was sitting right at Chris's own feet for they had both stopped at the same time and the boy watched the trainer wondering what would happen as the intelligence of his own mind started to whirl and become enblazened with the synaps firing as thoughts, images, and ways of thinking started to go through that magnificent muscle which was called the Brain.

Jie did not slow down in fact he picked up his pace moving with his hands as if he held a sword swiping at the unseen enemy in front of him. His right foot turned merely a millimeter and his whole body twisted to face the boy who stood facing him. "Mr Blackwell how may I be of help" he asked now standing quite still his breath even as if he'd never begun his work out.
His eyes fixed on the boy not wanting to scare him he moved to sit down cross legged on the ground to meditate a little so dissipating the adrenalin that was some what flowing threw his body. That was not why he trained , it was more so to keep his hand in and his muscles toned.

His murky brown eyes seemed to flash for a mere moment for the man who seemed to flow and move with grace and then looked directly at him eye to eye and yet also wondering of what he could do for Chris even though it was said so formerly as if he didn't know or couldn't call him by his first name. The cat seemed to move away, but still in a arms' reach when he looked more over the arena and finally found what he was looking for as there seemed to be other little dummies dressed in roman armour and then looked back at Jei and with finding his voice he addressed him and told what he could do for him. "Nothing Mr. Hirokin I only came for it seems the same reason you are here Master of Weapons to train and hone my own skills as well!"[/b] Again looking towards the dummies and started walking over toward them when his weapon of choice emerged into his own hands a ellision silver sai in each hand with its leather grips and started to go through the motions even making motions of those who weren't even there as well as the dummies that hung on their sticks, knowing that Jei was sitting on the outside of the arena portion and meditating on things he, Chris was attacking and getting ready for something that could or could not be coming sooner or later as Kalantia just laid in basking the summer sun into its darkened coat. it came to a point when Chris was facing the Weapons Trainer and seeing that he had barely broken a sweat and there was a light coat of it covering him in which he trudged towards where his pet was and in taking off his darkened shirt with a design of a demonic being on it showing his lighten tanned skin and the lean muscles underneath and went back to his own single training making thrusts and imaginary pairies with the three pronged silvery weapons as the light of the midday sun reflected off of them.

Jie watched the boy as he too moved away from him and began training Jie watched him closely admiring his technique but unsure where he'd learned it as it was none like he'd seen before. Standing and stretching out his arms and legs he walked over to stand facing him. "Your moves are unusual, may I ask where did you gain them and who taught you?" he asked his arms folded across his chest as he looked him up and down.
"Also you may call me Jie, some hold with formality I do not wish it to be so" he gave a small bow to him. "You are Chris, are you not, I have seen you around camp, you seem more focused on the fight, others, they seem interested in only having fun, though I see nothing wrong in that, in this time honing ones skill seems the better use of time and effort." he moved around Chris noting the cat that hung close to the boys side.
Jie smiled softly and moved his left leg back slightly. "Would you care for a spar, I could use the practice."He offered holding out his hands as if to show he held no weapons that could harm the boy.

Before the Weapons trainer came towards the boy he twirled the sais in each hand which the points sailed right into two different foes while ducking from an imaginary attacker, doing a single flip and then in crouching twisted while kicking as if it would've tripped the other. It was then and there that he found that Jie had in fact moved in silence as it seemed with Chris going to re-collect his weapons in the dummies chests and placed each in the belt that wrapped around his waist in seeing that the other was wanting to seem more friendly to him which was quite odd as if knowing that some didn't act like that at camp. Still now with Kalantia still hadn't moved and could move quite swiftly and silently if she wanted to, but didn't really see a threat nor a reason to move from that spot and so with that he trusted this guy for the time being. Slowing his breathing and taking in deep breaths of fresh oxygen keeping it calm he finally answered the other in friendly kindness.
"Yeah I'm Chris and I've seen you before as well at least around the camp like you have and thanks for letting me call you by your first name Jie! Um...Well my other father made me go through some rigorous training and that in defense and so I did that in gaining the skills which you see me doing right here!"
Seeing that Jie didn't have any weapons except for the wooden stick in which he had been using and so with that a slight move made the sais go from where they had been at once and grabbed up a wooden pole in which once held one of the dummies which he had dispatched of earlier and in pointing it downward towards the dirt he looked at the guy once again and snapped it in even halves making it the same length as his sais and now with the wooden pieces he looked to see if the other would regain his own wooden sword of a crude making.
"Yeah sure I don't mind doing a little sparring with you, although I don't know if we'll be evenly matched or anything although I do know that it will be most interesting for both of us!"

Jie looked at Chris and nodded he stood with his feet slightly apart as he watched Chris deeply his mind focusing on the movement of Chris's body so he cold anticipate his moves. He Listened carefully to him as he spoke about his training and that it was his father who had made him go through it. “ And what was is it you wished to do instead of the training.” He asked looking at the big cat that stood close by him. “ Be as your cat , free and able to roam as you wish?” he spoke softly never did he raise his voice as he stood ready. He knew not to hurt the boy but he could not help himself his muscles flexed as he moved to make himself ready for the boys first move he saw Ookami stretch out behind the boy and lay down her eyes watched them both and he shook his head .
“ Ookami don't look at me like that, its what I do so they will survive” he told the white wolf as he then moved around the boy. His staff now moved like it was a mere feather in his hands as he half knelt in front of the boy, he was ready for this as he was the first and Jei didn't know how good or not he would be.

Twirling the small pieces of wood like he would with his sais which were put away for the moment and saw, nor sensed that Jie was watching him and seeing of what he was capable of. Even though he hadn't showed enough to show his full potential and yet didn't want to at that very moment however just enough to show a bit of himself. For trusting others wasn't his strong suit nor was it of great importance. Pointing the ends downward he started to bounce on the balls of his feet. However the battle fury was still there Chris seemed to show on the outer side one of no emotion, like that of the Vulcan on Star Trek who was named "Spock" or any of that race. Bringing a malicious smile to his face it seemed that his skills might come into more play than he would usually. Still it seemed like they stood at a empass for Jie hadn't started yet and Chris didn't want to start either for he wanted to see the Weapons Master show him first than he showing the other. It was a bit crazy, but if he was to start the bout it would be quite funny to show something which wasn't normal whichwas how the Demigods were famous for even in oldened days. However they still stood there ready for one or the other to start this mock fight and to show their very best even if it might of been one-sided for Chris had some experience, but this was with the guy who knew that of weaponry and such.

Jie watched him his eyes fixed on Chris's,he saw him stood emotionless and yet keen to get started, yet Jie waited and watched and learned. Impatience he knew could be a fighters biggest downfall and he wanted to see how long Chris would go before making the first strike. The first vital move but it wasn't long, he wanted to test the boy's reflex's. He twisted the pole around his shoulders turning on the spot as he carefully lowered his body to the ground so lowering his center of gravity, his hands swept out with the pole, which he made contact with Chris legs hard enough to make some sort of impact, the pole did contacted Chris's knees forcing him he hoped to them and the ground in front of him. Quickly he flipped backwards landing on his feet as he slowly stood up to stand facing him the pole now laid over his shoulder as if he'd not done a thing.
Jie looked down at the boy and stepped back waiting for his move. “ need to move Chris” he said softly “ A fighter who lives doesn't stay on his knees” he said tapping the pole on the dusty and dry ground beside him.

As the pole lightly struck at his knees curling his body while going down as he somersaulted rolling through what had happened by Jie making the first move which was calculated and one that would've gotten anyone off of his or her feet. Finally finding his feet rose again as he jumped not knowing where, but in another way he did making a flip and landing right behind Jie as he spoke about ones who don't live on their knees and striked making the pieces of wood hit Jie in his elbows and knees which a force that'd make them fall as well as losing their choice weapon in hand.
Yeah, well one is only as good as his weapon and in being able to keep ahold of it as well!
He did however feel and sense other eyes on him besides Jie and his pet from the underworld looking back for only a mere second he saw a pure white wolf lounging on the grass soaking up sun as well which made him chuckle at the sight that a hellcat and a wolf wouldn't be attacking each other. Still going back to his little quote which he had litigated for he wasn't cocky or overconfident, just wanting to strike a quote which was right for the action in which was done.

Jiewatchedas he moved to stand again and he smiled he managed to block some of the blow that Chris gave him but he still fell using the momentum he twisted grasping the falling pole as he then stood back up to face him and nodded he approved of the move he'd just made. Jie looked where Chris was and chuckled. “ That is Ookami my wolf” he said softly “ she is not interested in fighting nor protection, only eating, hunting and sleeping.” he said and moved back from Chris.
He took his stance one more time as he waited for him again his eyes falling to the ground as if in meditation as he waited his mind focused on catching the poles next time he went to hit him. Quickly he dove forward using his pole he broke it in two and knocked Chris poles from his hands grabbing them in his own as he them flipped backwards over Chris holding the pole against Chris's throat. “ a fighters greatest defense is his observation and concentration” he said and held up Chris's wallet “Drop something?” he said smiling at him as he moved to face him placing the wallet in Chris's hand.

As he took on the actions of the other as some of the blows didn't hit home and some did it seemed that Jie was one who knew of what he was doing. Seeing of what he was talking about the wolf only being interesting in hunting, eating, and sleeping. Which told Chris that this wolf was pretty much tamed, that was if only to Jie or to any person who approached him. It seemed that they were both observing each other as Jie attacked diving inwards and making Chris lose his weapons which wasn't new for that was how it was at times as the pole was now pressed against his neck and said with a little difficulty.
"Not bad, are you thinking of going into business as a pick-pocket eh?
As the pole was removed from his throat and now with the other in front of him with the pole touching the ground and seeing that his own broken pole was a little ways away from him which gave him an idea, a interesting turn of events that is if he was able to grasp at it fast enough.....however for first he'd need to get his woodened weapons back to even attempt it. Casually faking to the left he went right and made a beeline for them grasping he stood there for only a second to assess of what was there and what could be done, seeing a tree limb not to far up looking up and then at Jie pocketed the poles in the holsters which would normally hold his sais.
In which he jumped straight up grasping at it and turning in mid-air so as to plant himself firmly there only for a second and then dove from that position straight at Jie hoping upon hope that he'd strike and thus making him lose the pole and the bout would be won. Colliding into the softened target he rammed right into Jie making him fall cause of the sheer momentum which came with his dive however after hitting the other guy he stood looking around for the staffened pole so as to grasp at it and leaving the weapons master weaponless.

Jie shook his head lightly and chuckled at Chris's words. “ Unfortunately I have found myself in that situation once, before I came here and a long time ago. “ He admitted stepping back from Chris he noticed the move he made next and smiled nodding he approved of his quick thinking. Jie saw his next move and bent backwards letting Chris fly over the top of him and with a twist stood back up to face him pole still in his hand and a smile on his face. “ That was an interesting move, but one easily countered, try grasping it first, then moving.” He was about to move away when he stopped and looked back at Chris over his shoulder.
“You have potential Chris” he said softly as he gently brushed the top of Oogami's head and around her ear. He sighed as he saw cross legged on the ground. He wondered if he was getting too old for the job he'd been good in his prime but this young lad had almost beaten him twice. This made him think whether he should change his path. He shook his head knowing he was just out of practice, he knew he would , he hoped get better in time .

Landing he thought he struck the softened target which was Jie, but nay it was the ground even though it wasn't that hard of a landing it still bruised his ego more than anything else as he stood up brushing the loose dirt off of himself though he didn't care for the dirt it was more a motion than getting the dirt off of him. Seeming to minorly glare at the elder one and seeing that after all that he was going to take a breather, or was it merely the sight of him being tired for it could've been a mere tactic to throw him off.
"So is that the best you have against me old man, or is there more of ya?"
It seemed to be taking its toll see ing that he was sitting on the ground indian-style it looked like still he wasn't going to be fooled if it was a tactic or for the real deal. For judgement is always patient in its route to condemming those to death. As the glaring of his eyes receeded and being no more, but a mask of stone. With a straight and kind face he wondered about if this was the end of it or if he'd try to surprise Chris into submission, standing there with his legs shoulder width apart from each other and his hands palms hugging his hips and seeming to stare as one seemed to go towards one of the holsters ready for if the bluff was going to break or not.

Jie looked at Chris and smiled at him as he stood back up. He gently brushed his trousers free from the dust that had accumulated on them from sitting on the soft ground. Moving again he crouched low, the two parts of the wooden pole now held tight in his hand as he waited. “ Well if your up for more, don't let me stop you.” he said softly as his dark hair now hung over his eyes and face, hiding the small smile that sat on his lips as he waited. His white wolf moved to a higher perch away from the fighting and noise. Moving the half poles in a circular motion he slowly walked back and forth in front of him with his eyes watching Chris. As was his trait, never let the opponent see your weakness, he had been told once and he was not about to let him get the drop on him.
Stepping forward carefully, he twisted his body one way then back the other as slowly his body made the dust rise into the air around him forming a dust column as he used it to hide himself. He carefully moved behind Chris, but did not attack. He wanted to show Chris that even in the height of battle, being defensive about your moves was just as good to create confusion in an opponent, which was a good thing, rather using nothing but pure anger against them.
