Seeing Jie stand up with a look in him which he couldn't really touch on, but it did however catch his eye as the wolf seemed to moved more backward it seemed that this would create some kind of confusion or something. Still as the other came and was moving only slightly not giving a weakened point and Chris watched at him as well observing his opponent like he was taught that was until the dust started flying making him blink for merely a second and then seeing that Jie wasn't there anymore.
Looking around he couldn't see where he was that was until he looked straight behind him for it was possible that someone could move that fast which he turned pivoting and stretching out with one of the split poles as it collided into something soft which gave a smile to him and followed up with the other pole as well as crouching and lashing out with his leg wondering if it would connect as to trip his opponent like it was supposed to do when properly used.

Jie felt the first pole and moved stepping back he flipped back pushing himself off a small wall behind him to flip over to kneel in front of Chris, he did rub his thigh where the pole had contacted and he smiled at him.“ well done, first strike to you. “ He said softly he looked at Ookami and shook his head. “ please ignore him she's temperamental when it comes to this she feels it should be not necessary to train but it should come naturally” he said and moved back from him he picked up a cup of water that sat next to a natural spring well and drank some, quenching his thirst for a moment. Moving to sit on a stone step he looked at Chris.
“ war isn't pretty “ he said softly “ I have fought enough to know, I fought to survive, why do you fight?” he asked after he'd refilled his cup once again. Placing it back where it had come from he picked up his poles. “ you are aware this is training not a true fight” he said hoping to let him understand he would not hurt him in any form it was not his goal.

As his foot didn't strike anything at all and rolled through till he was once again how he started Chris saw Jie right in front of him as the older walked a little ways away to get a drink of water and sat down once again. As he started to feel a bit thirsty himself and in pocketing the poles out of repeatative doing so, pulling up a fresh thing of water he drank out of it therefore sitting down next to him and looking with refreshened with strength.
I know it is a mock fight and that actual harm will not be coming to me at least enough to injure, but I think that actuality of things aren't all mock fights good for what is to come? Also I fight mostly out of interest, but as well as in survival when it is needed.
As he sat on the warmed block of stone and felt the grooves within it looking over at the dummies and then to his pet which he finally returned his gaze back to Jie and wondered of what or why it had been that this guy came to be a master weaponeer, for there was mystery to this guy which no one really wanted to touch nor get close enough to see his history of what had been.

Jie looked down at Chris and nodded he approved of Chris words. Jie looked at him he rarely told people of his past finding it safer to stay unattached that way you don't get hurt if things went wrong . He saw Ookami walk over to him and lay down at his feet and press against him.“ she was a mere cub when I found her or rather she found me.” He said and looked slowly up at Chris. “ I had just lost a battle, my own fault, I lost focus and he got the upper hand.” He said brushing his fingers through the white wolfs coat and up to her ear. “ as I lay in the thick forest, she came around looking for the food that had spilled from my bag, I watched her and fed her and she stayed with me loyal always” he said softly. “ I do not speak of my past much nor the battles I have fought, for each one holds bad memories I wish I didn't have “ he stood up and moved down to where the dummies stood. Taking his long sword out from its sheath he held it in his right hand as he stood facing one dummy.
With a flick of his wrist he spun it twisting as he went but he looked as if he didn't even touch the dummy. Several times he did this, twisting and turning then he tossed the sword up and caught it in his left hand and with his back to it he jumped over it using the full force of his strike he struck it hard right on the Mellon that sat a top of the dummy, splitting it clean in two. Then crouched on the ground he looked up and gently blew at the dummy which fell in pieces to the floor in front of him. “ sometimes it is best not to underestimate your opponent just because he does not show his true potential.” he said softly.

it seemed that Jie had indeed gained a load of experience as he sat and listened to the things he had said with much intention as if the words were giving him insight about something so precious. For not many talk about what had been especially if they had been around for quite a time. Not knowing, but sensing that Kalantia was inching forward only a little at a time as she looked at the dummies as if little toys to play with than actual things. That was until she saw the wolf in its brightness which she diverted and stopped a little ways away.
Looking onward he saw the fastness and skill in which he dispatched one of the dummies crushing the melon which was for its head and only doing a light breath in which it fell into many pieces which did bring a thirst for Chris for it would be cool if he could only do a few moves and get the same result, however he had not the experience as Jie had even though he was a son of the Prince of the Underworld which did make him quite powerful even in this sense.
"Hmmm...quite true and I ask your pardon for having to go through that and to tell something which was so dear to your heart and it twas so for me in meeting Kalantia even though the guy who was helping me get here wanted to kill her right on the bloody spot."
Still he looked at yet another one which was standing there a dummy just waiting to be split apart as if it was a wish of his pulling out the double-edged sword that was half elision steel n' the other half styxian Iron catch the light and flew like an unwilling arrow towards it as it flew going straight through into the other side he once again pulled out the duo sais and lunged towards the already injured dummy and making his fleeting moves slicing and dicing severing each portion of the dummy until all that was left was the torso which he turned one of the sides grip first and pulled it out of the dummy as it came through it seemed that the only thing was keeping everything together was that single duo-blade coming through easily and now holding it once again all went down in several places.
Stashing all his weapons away he smiled with a sickening joy that made it seem like he really liked to do so much damage even if it was something so inadamate as this thing not being able to hold any kind of defense against his and Jie's attacks, as the dust fell back down from the fast paced attacks he saw and yet laughed for the odd hellcat was attacking the remains of another as if it was a simple chew toy or something of the like and then looked back to jie in shaking his head. "She is one weird pet to have sometimes!"

Jie watched them both with the dummies that were left he watched his skill and stepped back to watch from a safer distance. He saw Chris's Hellcat attacking another and chuckled softly at the sight. He knew Chris would be a formidable opponent should they ever battle together. He watched the dummy fall apart just as his had done. Brushing his hair from his face he returned his sword back in its sheath and listened again. “ her name is Kalantia, sounds a beautiful name for such a slender creature, I would have done the same if I had met the man who offered to kill such a creature” he spoke softly meaning each word he said.
Ookami walked over and sat with him she looked at the Hellcat and Chris, moving over to him she sat facing Chris. “ I think she wants to make friends with you” he said moving to stand with her “ she's like that but she is protective of those she likes.” he stroked her coat again but this time she moved to a high rock “ like you she also can be temperamental and independent” he said and saw her move her head to look the other way. “ ow and wants everything her way “ he chuckled and moved to sit down “ your pretty good Chris, I'd be proud to have you at my back and honestly, scared if you were my enemy” he added

Very glad to have a break and accomplished with the act in which had just been done for it was something in which he knew would've impressed anyone who had saw it. Especially Jie as he watched the elders' eyes watch over him turning around he saw and heard everything then and there, he was grateful for what he had to say about Chris being a formidable foe and a great warrior even though he hadn't fully been in a war yet as it had seemed.
Still as his friend and pet finally came to his side and still munching on a piece of the dummy spat it out towards the others and meowed happily and in seeing the other and his own pet it seemed a little more welcoming that it had at first sight. Still as Chris looked at the pure white wolf as if she finally got accustomed to him as well for it seemed to be something that she and Kalantia had in common of not being friends and trusting until they got to know someone or something of the kind. It looked like she wanted to be a friend of his now and was giving the great Jie Hiroken hell for trying just to lovely stroke Ookami. Still he was skeptic about the wolf for they weren't tame creatures and not all the times were they totally dependant on their masters, but it would be a great deal more to him if he had someone else to like him for no apparent reason, but his actions alone.
Putting his hand forward to the wolf's muzzle for her to sniff with the palm upwards and with awaiting tension without fear, but only to be accepted and wanted and in which afterwards he'd stroke the soft fur of the wolf only lightly for the time being it took a second possibly close to three or five when she finally gave in and was able to stroke the fur in welcoming as he looked at Jie and said in response to the comment in which he was just paid to.
"Yes and I you would be a great deal to have as a comrade in arms instead of a enemy which to run his blade through me. For it seems we aren't far apart from what we know, the only thing that separates us is our heritage and experience I do believe!

Jiesmiled and nodded at Chris's words he could not add any more, Jie watched Ookami and Chris and chuckled. “ she likes you , that's rare, particularly for her.” he said and saw the look Ookami gave him as he sat down on the dust ground his legs crossed under him as he slowly and gently took long deep breaths in and let them out, as he did after every fight to refocus his body and mind. After a moment he stood up and brushed the dust from his trousers again and his sleeveless top Ookami moved back to Jie and sat next to him brushing against his side as she did.
Jie smiled a small smile as he moved back to the stone step that sat at one side of the arena. Sitting he took the cup and drank the water again this time slowly. His eyes watching Ookami as she moved over to the hell cat and sniffed around her but never getting too close to the cat for fear of being swiped, Ookami knew cats and this one was no exception except it had Chris's scent on it and she snorted moving to sit with Jie again.

Not wanting to trail on the fact of fighting anymore for he had exerted enough energy and would be able to get some refreshment back into his limbs, in looking back to his pet and taht Ookami was wondering about it from afar so as not to get swiped at for sure that was how cats were, but since it being a hellcat who knew what else was in store in that beast for not even he knew the full extent of his own pets gifts even though it was quite that Kalantia did have other gifts that weren't of the natural variety.
Still he went to go sit on the grass as in collecting his shirt and throwing it back on as the stink of his own skin was still apparent and it seemed to also linger in the shirt itself from that momentarily physical endurance which he had done in the darkened material. Now with the shirt on he sat not far from Jie on the smoothened rock in the shadow of a tree and watched the two as they seemed to well get to know each other as you would say.
Kalantia was quite skeptic about this canine for it was one who was interested in her master and friend who had defended her oh so long ago and was also a gift from the place which was full of death, but still the scent of Chris was on her nay it was all over her and thus with this wolf keeping itself out of the reach of her sharpened razor-like talons which hid inside the softened pads. With her yellow slitted eyes keeping a constant watch while skating past him and finding her way back to her human friend and the other as well to hers. it seemed that if Chris could stand these two then maybe, just maybe she could sooner or later get accustomed to them.
Finally Chris in the cooled shade had answered in delayed time of what Jie had said with a lazy-like way with still the same energy as he usually talked with.
"I can see she is a trifled one to be around with for it seems her personality and ways make it seem like the world revolves around her, which at times isn't a bad thing and hell she is an interesting creature by all the same!"

Zach walked quietly through the camp making his way to the training arena. It had grown very hot since he left his quarters and wearing pants didn’t really help that problem. As Zach approached trying not to be noticed he walked up and around to the dummies that were dressed in roman armor seeing that no one was there he realised this would be a great training day. Carefully taking the key off his necklace with the “Z” and the northern star emblem that belonged to his mother he slid his thumb down the middle and it transformed into his favourite and main weapon the sabre. Swinging it around like a pro he took one big swing and chopped the head of the dummies head. Then realising he didn’t need any practice with his sabre, he decided to pull out his naval dirk that was given to him from his father he threw it at the dummy just beside the headless one and it caught the dummy in the throat and hay spilled out the new hole in the dummy.
Hearing a sudden voice Zach did a back flip to turn around. When he looked there was no one there this confused Zach so he went to go discover the voices as he got closer he recognised the voice he was one of the head knights it took Zach a minute but he knew it was Chris Blackwell and he heard another it was Jie the weapons trainer. Not wanting to be rude and interrupt their conversation Zach just watched and waited until the two guys were done talking so he could talk to Jie and get a good spar in today because Jie was quite busy with the new demigods that had arrived this year.

Jie chuckled lightly at Chris's words and nodded, but as he brought his head slowly back up his eyes fell on a figure that stood off by the dummies. His head turned and Ookami stood up and jumped down to stand with him. Jie smiled softly to Chris.“ Seems someone else has has come to join us Chris.” He said and placing down the cup of water as he then walked over to the person he now recognized. “ Welcome Zach” he said softly “ Have you come to spar?” he asked as he then looked back at Chris and smiled. “ Its Mr Langit.” He said and slowly turned back to face him. He took a note of the weapon Zach held in his hand and nodded.
“That is a formidable weapon Zach, A sabre I believe, a curved, single-edged blade with a large hand guard, which cover the knuckles of the hand as well as the thumb and forefinger. “He said now slowly taking out his own sword, a Nodachi, a large two-handed traditionally made Japanese sword. He swung it over his head in a circle then at the top of a dummy slicing it clean off like it was not even there. He finished in a half crouch as if bowing to the dummy as its top part fell to the ground cleanly sliced in four and fell gently at his feet.

As they sat there not worrying about anything that was going on and just shooting the breeze, not to mention cooling off for the time. Which wouldn't be much longer until he saw a shadow stretching over the opened area near the dummies which caught his sight for only a moment with wandering eyes they wafted over to the shadow and then back to their stationary point seeing only in front of him. That was until now in the cool shade and with the big cat looking on saw the same shadow and started to tense a little, sure yes this got both of their attention indeed it only mattered for how long they'd be interested in this newcomer.
Hearing Jie say that this guy wanted to possibly spar only putting up a hand as if shooing something away with that motion being half voluntary and half a reaction for he at the time only wanted to watch this one and not wanting to get into the maylay of it all resting against the trunk he nodded as well with a glazed stare.
"Naw its alright with me if you want to give him some quick agility or what not, I think I'll watch and see how things sort themselves out when they do. I think that this would be a definite interest to watch if that helps at all though!"
Still with that glassy stare something seemed to cross his minds' eye as if seeing something that wasn't there and yet underneath it all there was something, something about a sword that was being pointed at someone laying on the ground although he didn't know if this was what would be the deciding of this battle or another which hasn't happened as of yet. It had to of been something that hadn't even happened before for smoke was in the air and the earth was spilled by much blood either that of demigod or mortal couldn't quite tell from that point in time it seemed that a just war or battle was to come and because of his bloodline was seeing as if in a vision which always pained him to have these things which showed themselves and yet not knowing what at all they even meant. Finally shaking his head to shake the cobwebs from his sight and mind waking himself he stood with using the tree to prop himself up and rested upon it so as to get a better view of the battle now leaning against it he crossed his arms seeing the one whom he thought he had seen on a occasion, but couldn't touch upon when or where it had to of been the camp however for that was all he knew of this boy who was the son of the prince of gods that being about as powerful as being the son or daughter of Zeus or Jupiter!

Upon hearing his name Zach somberly and a bit embarrassed walked out of the shadows and said, ”sorry to interrupt but I indeed have come to spar with you Jie” smiling slightly Zach said hello to Chris Blackwell then turned back to the weapons instructor as he talked about the sword that was given to him by his father but hearing a slight mistake in its description, ”actually it is double edged quite unique to its kind, but my indeed favourite weapon” he said showing the weapon to them both before Jie showed Zach his weapon and demonstrated, ” very nice weapon.” Turning to look at Chris while he talked and said, “Naw it’s alright with me if you want to give him some quick agility or what not. I think I’ll watch and see how things sort themselves out when they do. I think that this would be a definite interest to watch if that helps at all through!” still smiling Zach thought of the one on one with Jie. Zach was going to make things interesting to watch for Chris hoping he wouldn’t lose so badly this time. Stretching out Zach did a little warm up with his sabre then took his shirt off and went to stand a bit away from Chris ready to fight Zach said, ”are you ready?” taking the smile off his face he stood serious ready to battle.

Jie saw Chris and heard him too but chose to just nod his head as he turned back to Zach. “ You don't have to “ Jie said watching Zach's body for signs of his next move but he saw little to his benefit. He nodded when Zach corrected him on his description of the sword and he bowed. “ I can see it is unique I have not in all my time seen another” he said honestly he looked at Chris and nodded moving he watched Zach slip off his shirt. Jie shook his head feeling it was unwise with all the stones and sharp rocks laying around the training area. But he said nothing feeling if he wanted to go shirtless so be it.
Jie took off his sword belt and placed it down Ookami walked over and lay over the top of it as if protecting it. He wanted to show Zack and Chris that you don't need weapons to fight but you could use your own body to fight with. Jie stood facing Zach and nodded. “ I'm ready Zach” he said as he glanced back at Ookami laid on his sword. “ you don't have to do that Ookami” he said “ Were all friends here “ he said but she didn't move.

Watching this and awaiting to see how things would be thrown down as seeing that Jie went out to the other boy without his weapon he thought he knew what Jie was thinking of doing for sure there are ways to fight without a weapon, not to mention using your body or anything that's surrounding you which brought a definite wide smile for fighting without a weapon was definitely going to be fun as the other still held the sabre.
Seeing that Ookami was protecting his newfound friends' weapon belt he admired that the wolf was able to even protect from them being stolen by someone there or would be happening to be passing by even though who would dare steal a demigods' weapon for some had an added thing to them and were very precious if it was one handed to them by their parents and so putting his sights back on the two competeters with intent he watched to see if Zach would drop his own weapon or stay as he was with the double-edged sabre able to hack and slash at the body of Jie that was if he could even catch the guy, for if it took Chris a hard time just to try and dislodge and make Jie weaponless it'd be hardly capable to beat however he was optimistic about things even as they were.
