Alison had had enough of not being noticed the guy she was in love with, and just people around camp she wanted to be like annabeth a really cute boy friend, fame and even just being noticed by Athena. But truly Alison knew that really wasn’t going to happen she was just herself. Alison walked back to her cabin and grabbed her bow then stormed out of it and ran straight down to the archery range she found it always calmed her down to shoot a bulls-eye then try and figure the wing speed velocity pressure it was truly one of her favourite things to do.
As Alison rounded the corner she silently hoped Thalia wasn’t there because last time she got in a big lecture about how to put her arrow on the bow. Alison chose to just smile and nod until she left because she didn’t want an enemy like that and frankly she knew Thalia had gone through some really tuff times. As Alison looked around thankfully there was just a couple Apollo campers none of which who might try and correct her for they knew they wouldn’t last in capture the flag when she pummelled them like Clarisse used to do to Percy. Alison smiled she liked when things were relaxed and normal at camp it made the stay more fun.
Stepping up to the line she put an arrow in her bow the way she liked to then started to draw back and with all her force the arrow went straight to the line of the bulls-eye not quite there but really close this made her wonder what went wrong so she waited for the range to be clear and got her arrow then did all the math and realised the angle of her bow was four millimetres off. This time Alison stepped up to the line pulled back and shoot and found a bulls-eye wanting to keep the place she shoot two more one landed with the other bulls-eye and the other just below. Lazily she started forward when a hand went on her shoulder. Wondering really who it was or why she just realised there was archers at their ready to shoot and she completely just tried to end back up in the infirmary.

Grace was once again wanting to improve her worth with her favorite crossbow Hell-gard as she went forward to the archery range wanting nothing, but to just be able to do some work without someone wanting to try and kill her or her friend even though he had already been shocked by the accursed "Thalia" which was purely an enemy by now because of her actions even though it was most apparent that she had been through something as of late.
Finally reaching the range she saw that most of the targets where preoccupied at least for one when she was about to reach the line she saw an old friend who wasn't clearly that old as of yet for it was little Alison Smith the girl who ventured into the forest with her and went through some interesting fun. smiling she regarded the girl letting her take the last target that was until one finally came into view which was right directly next to her friend that was having some mathmatical fun it seemed for that was how those children of athena were at times. As she watched her friend and emptied out her quiver just about to cross the line when Grace saw that others where still firing and so she reached out and tugged grasping alison's shoulder she pulled her out of the way.
"I better watch out if I was you in this place who knows you might end up worse off then before I believe!" Which was quite clear for the last time she had broken a wrist and ankle not to mention a few bruised ribs. She definitely remembered this for her little sibling zipped in and out of the infirmary and also was surprised to see her friend in his true form as he laid in the small grove of trees which were around the range hiding certain points with shade.
Finally letting go of her friends' shoulder she got ready to fire off some arrows herself none of course of her specially tipped ones, but just your usual run of the mill field arrows, for she had in her inexperience with Zol'tars' venom and in using it on a target demolished the entire thing giving away something which she didn't want to give away at that time. With a sweet smile she held up her crossbow one hand balancing on the shaft of the instrument of war while the other was caressing the trigger as she sighted down able to get it to the target she wished of hitting. Inhaling the sweet aroma of the area and having her target in sight she hit the trigger as the arrow was released sailing smoothly towards the target and hit in the second ring close to the bullseye which she usually didn't show her best until she got warmed up.

As Alison was yanked back by the hand she turned seeing her friend grace the girl that was with her when Alison had her accidents with the tree and scorpion this put a smile to Alison’s face they hadn’t talked much after she left the infirmary but found that the experiences together had made them friends. After a moment of silence grace had said,” "I better watch out if I was you in this place who knows you might end up worse off than before I believe!" Alison then smiled and said, ”thanks grace, I always find that you are saving me from dangers” Alison then laughed.
Alison then watched grace take aim with her crossbow that she noticed didn’t have venom on it like the arrow that saved her from the griffin. She then wonder but said aloud, ”where is Zol’tar?” she missed not seeing the viper oddly but he had helped her overcome her fear of snakes. Turning back to grace for an answer of the whereabouts she watched as the arrow flew through the are on the outside yellow ring of the bull’s-eye Alison then mumbled,”one centimetre and six millimetres off from the middle bulls-eye.” looking around watched as one of the Apollo campers said clear and she moved forward to collect her arrows and graces as she looked at graces target she found herself right then grinned and brought back graces arrow and handed it to her.
I love the crossbow so much easier then the bow and arrow but the wind has more effect on it weighing it down because they are heavier. Focusing on the target in front of her she pulled her string back directed the arrow then let it fly hitting the bulls eye. She then shot two more making sure she was at the right angle and the other two hit the bulls-eye also; Alison then grinned and turned toward grace. ”If you don’t mind teaching me I would love to learn how to use the crossbow and see if I am any good at it???”

As she was starting to reload with another arrow she saw that everyone else was going to retrieve the arrows that had been shot which made her have to wait till the line was clear and ready to fire once again. Seeing that Alison was eyeing her how she shot and that the arrow wasn't like the ones that had saved her life in the forest which she put a thin smile and shook her head as her blue eyes rolled, for it had brought back to mind of how much happened at that time as well as it being a given why she wasn't using those kind. As the other girl, her friend came back with her arrows as well as Grace's single one she had a few questions which where asked a little too fast enough to answer so she had to wait a little until she could actually answer.
"Zol's over there enjoying the shade and if I'd be dumb enough to destroy 'another' target with those things, these are a good sort for practicing as well as on the range of course!" as she pointed behind and a little ways to the left with her free hand that wasn't holding the crossbow which the slightly younger one wanted to try her best and knowing that since she being a daughter of Athena would be smart enough to get the objective of the thing, even though this one only worked for children of Erebus meaning she had to go and find another one.
"Mmmm....I could teach you how, but not with mine hold on I'll see if there's one in the weapons shed!" As she shouldered her crossbow walking away momentarily to slink into the shed which was in the area of the archery range seeing all different kinds of bows, arrows, targets, and other things that went with archery seeing a basic lightweight crossbow hanging on a wall it was a clear wooden coloring possibly willow or something of the sort as she grabbed it up as well as the arrows that went to it carrying these she exited the place and with one hand closing the door unceremoniously as it was ajar she trudged back to Alison and the rest.
"Here I think I found one that you'd like and would be easy to master even though it isn't too difficult how to use it anyways, but go ahead and try it out if you want!" as she handed over the clear wooden colored weapon and the arrows hoping she'd take them and would start to instruct her by showing how hers is loaded and of course fired!

After Alison’s shots with her bow that had hit the bulls-eye grace had answered her questions and Alison was happy to see Zol’tar lying in the shade just where grace said he would be she knew that where ever grace was Zol’tar wasn’t too far away keeping an eye on her. Alison smiled because grace said she would teach her to use a crossbow; Alison loved learning new things. Alison watched as her friend walked to the weapon shed to find her a crossbow; after not letting Alison use her which she understood for no one was allowed to touch her necklace or really any of her things for fear of them breaking or something worse. Those thoughts were unbearable to Alison. Just as she snapped out of her own world which she went when she was thinking, grace walked back out with a crossbow made of wood, the thing looked really old but she was willing to give it a go.
As Alison took the crossbow from grace Alison almost dropped it; Alison hadn’t expected the weight of it because she was so used to the bow and arrow which were a good ten times lighter. Resting it on the ground she remembered how grace had loaded it before and Alison put the arrow in the slot and then turned to grace to make sure she was doing it right because frankly this was a weapon and it was very dangerous if Alison did the wrong thing someone could get seriously hurt. And Alison had had her experiences with beginners with weapons.

Eyeing her friend as she took the crossbow which almost fell on the ground which wasn't a big thing for it wasn't loaded and thus wasn't less of a danger, but wasn't scared about any flying projectiles going her way as Alison caught it before landing on the ground as she watched as the other girl loaded the Older model of crossbow, for she wasn't unsure if she'd be able to handle a newer model however it was more cause of it being a lighter weight than hers feeling that she should explain herself she finally did.
"I would let you try out my crossbow, however it has this weird function and I've tried to let others use it and it won't work for them unless they're either ones connected with the underworld or something of that and also I wasn't for sure if you could shoulder the weight of it!" Watching the daughter of Athena loading the weapon as the arrow was placed in the slot after the string and safety was locked she saw that Alison had in fact been paying attention to how she had loaded her own arrows. Nodding with satisfaction she got back onto the line.
Grabbing her own weapon off of her shoulder and started to load a fresh arrow onto her own as the string was first pulled back and then the arrow was placed in its slot she brought it up placing the end in the crook of her shoulder in starting to aim the target by looking down its sightings seeing her target and its different colored rings she started to feel the shadows come to life wihtin her hands and pressed the arrow as it shot with precision into the direction she had gone now with using it twice and firing twice she was starting to get a feel for it for it stuck right in the bullseye's center which wasn't easy by any standards except those who where born of the Apollo bloodline.

Seeing that she was doing good with the crossbow Alison picked it up getting used to the weight and looked over at Grace with just enough time to catch her as she fired and her arrow hit the bulls-eye amazed Alison said, ”great shot Grace, that was worthy of a Apollo camper” Alison then realised she had said it quite loud and an Apollo camper was looking straight at them with a dagger glare, that made Alison mad she had not said anything rude but Alison knew he was a newbie and she said,”quit giving me that look or ill do that to your head in capture the flag.”
At this point she had had enough with boys she looked back a couple of seconds later and the boy wasn’t looking at her anymore satisfied Alison got to whisper ”maybe even better.” Alison then let out a laugh unable to do more she rested her crossbow on her shoulder then looked though the hole and steadied her arm then right when she was on bulls-eye she pulled the trigger. Watching as the arrow had a direct course to the target she watched as it hit the second yellow ring. Alison starred in disbelief with her jaw to the floor; she had never used a crossbow before and she was so close to a bulls-eye. Looking over at Grace Alison was speechless.

About to reload another arrow she heard what Alison had said and that it had in fact angered a newbie Apollo which made her slightly chucle at for some new campers where so immature at times, not to mention those who had huge egos hanging around them like anchors on boats. Still she caught the glimpse of where Alison's had struck which she noticed it wasn't anything like her other shots and thus it meant that the crossbow would be a new challenge for her which was one of the great things for children of Athena at least from what she thought of them.
Looking over to her she said, "Yeah, sometimes it takes me a little to warm up and then after that who knows! Although good shot yourself not even that is so easy with that type, don't worry though in time you might be back to your old bullseye hitting self!" It was only a second when she was fully ready to fire again and wanted for Alison to try her best again with it to see if she'd improve or stay the same as she waited however there was something going on down the opposite side of the line which seemed to catch her eye. It seemed that the Apollo camper which gave her the dagger glare was wanting to have a bout between Grace, Alison, and of course himself to see how it would go.
As Zol'tar was coiled up next to the definite shade which the small grove of trees was casting in that area keeping cool and keeping a lazy piercing eye on the other archers as well as Grace for if danger was to arise they would always and forever tackle it together which the comosion on the other side of the single line of archers did catch his stare and wondered of what would be happening, not to mention what would follow this outburst for he seriously didn't want to escape the cool, dark shade then again if it came down to it he'd be by her side in an instance!

Alison was stumped why hadn’t the arrow gone straight like it normally did. Alison then tried to figure out what had went wrong the crossbow was in mint condition but she then looked at the arrows they were heavier then she thought and looking by the side it was one pound, wow she thought these are so much heavier. Reloading she heard Grace laugh and she thought probably at her little outburst which she should have apologized to the boy for but Alison didn’t she should be allowed to congratulate her friend on a good shot. As Alison finished calculating her best shot to get a bulls-eye she focused making everything around her disappear as she pulled the trigger Alison watched as the arrow flew straight this time and ,bam, it hit the target; but it was not what she expected it was right on the black line where the bulls-eye and the outer yellow ring were connected Alison cursed silently but didn’t give up she shot another arrow but lowered her arm a bit to make it go down as she starred at the flying arrow it finally hit bulls-eye.
Alison was happy over six years at camp and that is how good she got with a bow. Going out of her blocked self world she listened as Grace said the last word in her sentence which Alison had so rudely missed Alison nodded and smiled knowing that Grace wouldn’t be negative after her great shot. When Grace turned her head to look Alison followed her gaze to the young Apollo camper who seemed to be only thirteen and it looked like his first year here at camp half-blood she gritted her teeth the boy with the huge ego wasn’t even going to last in capture the flag when she got her hands on him.
Alison couldn’t take it anymore this boy was going to get it, and she finally burst out and said, ”you dare challenge a sixth year camper and a daughter of Athena! Well I accept and frankly you are going to lose!” Alison was so angry now she could barely control her rage. And it seemed as Alison had a bit of grey smoke by her feet this puzzled Alison as it had never happened before, guessing she looked pretty scary she brought down her tone and said, ” if you wish to make a fool out of yourself in front of the others, so be it but you must use a crossbow as it is my weapon of choice for the day.” Finally looking away from the boy she forced a smile at Grace and said, ” this is going to be fun!”

Finally shooting off the arrow and striking the bullseye in the target once again nearly close enough to strip the one she had shot before in two which would've been even better of a shot than before. Looking over at Alison's target she saw that just as Grace had said that she had arrived at the same place in experience then before and now her friend knew why it took her a little bit to get going because of the fact of the arrows being a little bit heavier than your normal ones. However before she could load another it seemed that the younger Apollo idgit was going to get it handed to him.
Wanting to add her own two bits to what Alison had told him as the shadows came to shroud her and was giving him a look that would definitely kill with the crossbow aimed down to the ground as she said in a whisper that would definitely carry towards for it was between a whisper and a scream as she said it enough for him to see what and who he was dealing with as this also caught the eye of her pet and colleague as he was just about to slither to her side. "I would be more cautious with your words young one, for not only are you dealing with a six year camper who also be a Daughter of Athena, but also a fourth year Daughter of Erebus who's been gifted in what was given to me by experience!" as the hoorific bad-ass look went away from her there was still that feeling that she could do much without lifting a finger, looking to her friend Alison she gave the same smile which mimicked Alisons' seeing if the boy would go and find one which he could handle. In which he did disappearing for a few minutes into the shed and then reappearing with one that seemed well not completely his style and not to mention a little heavier than that of even Grace's which she had been using for most of her life.

Angry about the insult of which the boy was putting to them Alison sighed as there was no way he could win they had a two against one chance and frankly he didn't look like he had that much training at all the boy was quite lanky. Turning to take one quick shot at her target Alison watched as once again she hit the bulls-eye very proud of herself for her first try and she had got three bulls-eyes already. Alison had no doubt this boy was going to lose and he shouldn't have let his monstrous ego talk for him. Trying to stay calm and not unleash her full anger she listened as grace said,"I would be more cautious with your words young one, for not only are you dealing with a six year camper who also be a Daughter of Athena, but also a fourth year Daughter of Erebus who's been gifted in what was given to me by experience!" smiling in hearing her friends words saying how many years they had both been at camp she touched the beads on her necklace but then found herself touching the owl necklace that turned into her armor which had saved Alison's life many times.
Alison then starred daggers at the boy just like he had to the two of them when she made her first comment. Alison watched as the boy walked away or what looked like he was but then it turned out he just went to the weapons shed. Alison watched the boy carefully as he came back out with a crossbow that seemed way to heavy for him Alison watched as he shifted the weight uncomfortably and loaded. Pulling it back up ready to shoot. Alison then said, " we shall have an armature contest for today as we all know the amounts of the rings; as this contest could go on for a long time i would say only five shots each highest scored is the winner." Alison looked around as she had made her point looking at one of the older Apollo members she shook her head because he had not warned his younger sibling and there whole cabin was going to be squashed in capture the flag all because the stupid boy opened his big mouth! Standing ready Alison awaited who would shoot first.

In seeing the stupidity as well as the immature way that he had chosen the crossbow seeing that he was a little one-sided seeming to be more barely shouldering the weight as a hand went to her brow and shaking her head from side to side as she saw that this one wouldn't get very far for he had chosen the wrong weight for himself. However she dropped the hand that was on her brow and looked at Alison as she said that it would be a Amateur bout between the three of them and wondering of who would go first which gave her a thought which had just came to her as she looked at the targets and then back at Alison.
"Well if the line can seize their firing we could collect our arrows and then we can see who goes in what order by how low they hit the target in scoring that is of course!" Which this was a little bit of humor to the younger of them for she knew that he'd score low on the target than her and Alison for they knew much about how to shoot that kind even though she had, had four years with the crossbow and Alison with her six years with a single bow and now with her newly experience of the Crossbow. Waiting till everyone was empty she crossed the line to go take hers out of the target and thus making her quiver full again as she walked back to the other side of the line she saw others collecting their own and then as if wanting to pay Alison back she zipped back to her target and stripped it of the arrows which were Alison's and brought those to her as well.
Seeing that this would be fun for all to see she saw that the younger one was already ready to fire and so she figured that he'd be the first to fire when the line was clear of course for there wasn't any reason to hit innocent bystanders not participating in this bout. "How bout we let him start off what ya think about that Alison?" as she started to reload her own crossbow as she did this as easily as one, two, three and in only taking a total of five seconds.

Alison watched as the boy loaded his arrow and she could see he was shuddering. Trying not to make him any more nervous she looked away and faced Grace and said quietly, ” hey, do ya think I scared him bad ? looking even more serious she watched as Grace put her hand to her head as in shame and guilt the same things Alison was feeling. When Grace said her next words Alison nodded instead of saying something rude because she knew Grace meant that he would score lowest on the target.
Standing there waiting she looked at Grace as if to say “be kind he is just young but smoke him in the competition” all with her eyes. When Grace said that we should let him go first Alison agreed she wanted to see how good this boy was yet and if truly his dad had given him enough skill to back up his big mouth. She waited as Grace gave her back her arrows then nodded to the boy and said, ”go ahead, and take your shot.” looking at him Alison watched as the boy shot it wasn’t bad but he had hit the second yellow ring; and would really have to step it up if he wanted to win.
Looking at Grace she said, ”I will shoot next if you don’t mind” felling confident Alison stepped up to the line and loaded her arrow in. Alison then did some speed math to calm herself and took aim; looking through the scope she saw it was aimed perfectly Alison then pulled the trigger and watched the perfect shot hit the bulls-eye. Smiling very big she stepped out of the way and waited Grace’s shot to see if hers would be better or worse.
notes: sorry if it sucks my alison muse has been terrible lately !

She nodded in agreement about what Alison had meant with her eyes and her words for this was someone who was inexperienced and yet had an ego as well which meant that she needed to at least teach this guy a lesson more than being rude to him. As she stood there with the loaded weapon and watched as she awaited on how things would go as he shot first hitting the bottom of the yellow ring she saw that he wasn't gifted with firsthand accuracy from Apollo nor experience like his sibling, now seeing Alison step up she knew that she'd hit good even with the firsthand experience with the thing.
As it shot true and fast striking the bullseye stepping away from the line to wait to see what Grace's would be it was all up to her now to decide how things would be. Looking down the sighting and lining it up with the target something came over her which she had no idea what it was, but it was something powerful as she looked with a keen deep blackened eye then her normal blue pulling the trigger as it struck true knowing that it would be able to hit the target she didn't know that she had made Alison's own arrow be stripped into two straight down the shaft as the feeling went away and her eyes became their natural color she seemed speechless for that had never happened before in all of her life.
"Um....It seems like I just broke one of your arrows, I swear that has never happened at all before something just happened!" As she felt a little guilty and yet also embarassed she didn't know what happened there if Apollo wanted to show his own child to respect others or if something else happened to her which was so random and unknowing she had no idea what came over her as she smiled and color came into her cheeks as well as feeling a little hot, for pink blodges of color came on her cheeks not knowing that she was in fact blushing for what had simply been luck of some sort or of something else entirely.

Smiling at Grace approvingly knowing her shot would be great because she had the most experience, she watched carefully as Alison normally did studying her technique to learn more, when she looked at Grace’s face. Alison was astonished to see he eyes had gone black and with indefinite quickness she shot and listened to the bam as the arrow hit the target but this sound was different it made a thwack sound as if something splitting. Still starring at Grace’s face wondering what had happened to her eyes she turned quickly to look at her shot because the look on Grace’s face was astonished. Looking at the target Alison’s jaw dropped to the ground she had split Alison’s arrow in half finally coming out of aw Alison turned to her friend as she said "Um....It seems like I just broke one of your arrows, I swear that has never happened at all before something just happened!" Alison smiled at her nervousness and said, ”sweet shot of Apollo !! Why in the world are you nervous, i don’t care about the arrow; that was amazing!”
Looking over at the boy she could see that he was surprised also and he looked scared staring at the target unable to look at the two friends. Alison then looked back at Grace’s eyes it was creepy the way they turned colour and there was no way to describe it but thankfully they were back to the blue she remembered. It seemed to Ali that whatever just happened it was like what happened to the oracles eyes. Wanting to get out of that moment Alison said ignorantly at the boy, ”your turn” and she found herself grinning out of control because she now knew after the boy lost he wouldn’t ever bother them again.
