[/div] strange new world, It was strange being in Roman territory as a Greek demigod. Not that Annabeth showed it to them as after all so far they had not been posed as anything hostile accept for that Octavian kid who seemed to have a mouth too big for his head. Though from what she had heard about him he wasn't the nicest guy on camp and in Annabeth's opinion was a little too dramatic, but then again some of the Apollo kids back at the Greek camp where just as bad. They had fought over a silly chariot cursing certain people to talk in rhyme who tried to take it from them. It was childish really though it would be there Ares cabin who where the ones who had tried to take it from them. It would be better if the things was confiscated and kept by Chiron who could keep it out of harm’s way and so no more squabbling erupted than already happened at the camp.
But now Annabeth was nowhere near the petty squabbles that could be found at Camp Halfblood but was instead over at the new discovered Roman camp named Camp Jupiter, or at least it was newly discovered to the Greeks. Though the best thing by far about being at Camp Jupiter was getting to be with Percy again. She had been so happy to see him when she stepped of the Argo mark II and saw him there waiting for her. It was such a relief to find out that he was ok and safe. But who wouldn't be happy to find there boyfriend safe and alive when he had been missing for a great deal of time indeed. Not to mention that he had again save a whole lot of demigods even if they where Roman.
Annabeth was still a little cautious around the imperial gold platted demigods. She made sure to keep her celestial bronze knife with her at all times just in case they changed their mind about letting them stay peacefully at the camp. Currently Annabeth was exploring the camp finding out her new surroundings upon her own since Percy had been called to attend some sort of meeting. Though Annabeth had insisted on going with him she understood when Percy explained that it was best for her to not get on Reyna's bad side by inviting herself in. She had been a little stubborn at first but that was just in Annabeth's nature and Percy knew that all too well. So she had left him too it as she went to find out more about the roman camp.
So far she had walked down the main street which held many building upon either side whether they be barracks or bath or even the mess hall. She had also had an enlighten chat with the god that guarded the boundaries of the camp including the Pomeranian Line around New Rome. And now she found herself wondering upon a hill which held many temples upon it each dedicate to something different. It was clear that the one atop the hill was for Zeus or Jupiter as the roman call him since it had a massive statue of the god within it. It was kind of like they had their cabins dedicated to each god only they didn't live in them. As she continued to wonder around the hill Annabeth made a game of it trying to match the god to the temple by studying the form and architecture of the building. Something that interested her very much. words: 594, tag: zephyr, notes: thread started as promised

After a long day of mostly routine training Zephyr decided to take a break and head up to Temple hill to leave offerings to the gods as was customary to do every so often else they would get mad. Zephyr walked up the hill having left his spear back at the barracks where he had changed out of his armor but still had his dagger attached to his belt. He didn’t exactly trust the Greeks that were in the camp right now from what he had always known about the Greeks he wasn’t as easy to trust them as some of the other members of his cohort were, but he wasn’t hostile to them as Octavian was. He sighed as he got to the top and breathed in a deep breath before letting it out and then he spotted the girl looking at the temples.
He was pretty sure she had to be one of the Greeks that had come to camp since most of the other Romans probably wouldn’t be up here yet after training. He cautiously approached keeping his eyes trained on her. “Hey there. What are you doing? “ He asked trying to sound friendly and not completely on edge as he currently was. If she did decide to do anything strange Zephyr was prepared to strike he might be tired from training and not at top form but that wouldn’t stop him from defending himself and his cohorts. But from the looks of it she didn’t seem like he would have any problems with her. Zephyr walked up to the girl slowly. “What’s your name?” he asked the female Greek demigod as he briefly looked her over and spotted the blade on her belt. ‘Smart girl’ he thought. “So tell me, can you identify which temple is in honor of your parentage?” he asked knowing that asking who her godly parent was straight out was pointless seeing as she would answer in the Greek version of the god or goddess and he only knew the Roman ones.

[/div] strange new world, Now Annabeth stood looking up at a blood red fortress looking temple surrounded by weaponry and impressive barricades. Obviously this was the temple of Mars as how else would have a temple which was as heavily armed as the god of War. Maybe his twin Bellona or Enyo as Annabeth knew her but she doubted that a minor goddess would have such a larger temple dedicated to them and so she rested with her decision that the temple was indeed for that of the war god. Having meet Mars Greek counterpart Ares, Annabeth wasn't particularly fond of the guy since he had tired maim Percy after they had left the underworld using Persephone's pearls. And his flaming eyes which were hidden behind his dark sun glasses most of the time weren’t exactly friendly and welcoming. So she didn't even want to imagine what an even more war like version of the war god was like. Hopefully more the military kind that the crazy blowing things up.
Though it was then that a voice reached her ears and Annabeth knew that she was no longer alone upon temple hill. Turning her body slightly she saw him. A roman demigod with a golden dagger strapped to his belt. For a second Annabeth just observed him making sure he wasn't going to attack before she responded to his question. "Just finding my baring and admiring some architecture." Annabeth told him smoothly and calmly as she now turned her full attention to the boy as he began to slowly approach her. Since he was coming to her Annabeth watched him as he came ever closer to her making sure that he wasn't going to grab his dagger and try to run her through. Though at present it didn't seem like the boy had any intentions of doing such a thing and so she let him approach as he did so.
When he asked her what her name was she guessed he had figured out that she was not one of them as if so he would have probably left her too it. But since she was a Greek and an 'outsider' in some people’s eyes it seemed that she wouldn't get away with things so easily. "My name is Annabeth. Care to tell me yours?" It only seemed fair that if she gave him her own name that he should give her one in return. Though she knew that by giving her own it wouldn’t defiantly grantee that he did give her his name. As it would nice to be able to start matching some names to faces around the place instead of wildly stumbling about just calling them that demigod she meet on temple hill. But still she guessed she couldn't blame him if he didn't want to give it.
He then continued to speak asking her if she could identify which of the temples upon the hill was dedicated to her own godly parents. Naturally being a daughter of Athena it was quite easy to single out the temple dedicated to her mother. As while it wasn't the most highly decorated upon the hill it still held a more sophisticated look with its grey stones slabs. "I believe it to be that one." Annabeth said pointing to the temple of Minerva as she spoke as the owl over the door way was a bit of a giveaway. "The temple of Athena or Minerva as I believe you roman would call her. Any chance that you would like to indulge me with the knowledge of you godly parent?" Annabeth asked as it would be interesting to see which godly parent the boy in front of her had. words: 615, tag: zephyr, notes: sorry for the wait

“I see…” Zephyr said as he crossed his arms over his chest. “Well I suppose if you’re only looking there is no harm in that. As long as you are respectful there doesn’t seem to be a problem with you admiring the architecture of temple hill” Zephyr said. Being that he didn’t have a reason to not tell the girl his name after she had told her his, he did. “My name is Zephyr.” He said though he did not add the greeting of it being nice to meet her because he still wasn’t sure completely.
“It’s easy to figure out who some of the temples belong to even to an outsider such as yourself I suppose “ Zephyr said a round about way of complimenting the girl for getting matching the correct name of the roman goddess to the correct temple. “A child of the wise goddess Minerva. I had already thought that you were smart to carry your weapon with you though I did not realize that it was because you are her daughter.” Zephyr said looking at the temple of Minerva for a moment but keeping an eye on Annabeth out of the corner of his eye. He wasn’t one to trust her enough to take his eyes off of her completely for even a second yet. “My father is Mercury, god of commerce and travel.” Zephyr said gesturing his head towards the small temple dedicated to his godly patronage. The temple dedicated to his father wasn’t as large as some but it was still well kept. “I do not know what you greek call him. But it is not of importance” Zephyr said.
“So you are a fan of roman architecture I take it. You should see what we are able to come up with for the war games we build a fortress and it’s never of the same design twice. If your allowed I would recommending checking one out if your going to be here long enough and they don’t think you’ll try to sabotage the games somehow. I’m impressed that you know the name of your mother’s roman counterpart did you study roman mythology as well?” he said in what seemed like a slightly condescending tone though he didn’t mean for it to come out that way.
“Sorry I don’t mean to sound rude if I am. I just don’t trust you, nothing personal.” Zephyr said.

[/div] strange new world, Zephyr. What an interesting name meaning light or west wind. Annabeth wondered if the name had anything to do with his personality as if it did it might mean that he could be warm and welcoming like the sea breeze the floated off the Californian coast but also be harsh and unforgiving at the flip of a switch. Though when he called her an outsider she felt a little disgruntled as even though the statement may be true it wasn't exactly the nicest of things to say. Though by the way he said it Annabeth was quite sure he hadn't meant it to be harsh as it would have sounded if Octavian might have said it. So she guessed he had used it for the lack of a better word to put in its place as even though there were other words he could have used not everybody was sharp enough to think of them.
She listened as he commented upon her being a daughter of Athena which he continue to explain why she was wise enough to carry her knife around camp with her. Though it should also give him a hint that she wasn't a bad fighter either unless he decided to neglect the fact the Athena was also the goddess of battle strategy too. When it come to him explaining who his father was Annabeth became a little more wary of him because of what she knew of the children of his father back at her own camp. He was a son of Hermes or Mercury as he had put it and the head counsellor’s of the Hermes cabin back at camp halfblood weren't exactly the kind of people you would trust. Especially considering the number of pranks the Stoll brother had played upon the various cabins.
"Hermes, that's what we Greeks call him. God of messengers, travellers and thieves." Annabeth told the boy even though he hadn't shown any interest of wanting to know about his father's counterpart. She felt in a way that being a daughter of the goddess of wisdom that she should use her own knowledge to pass thing onto other's even if they didn't really want to poses the piece of information as one day they might be more grateful of it. She listened as he went on to try and exploring her interest in architecture suggesting that she should see some of the structures they build for the war games if they would allow her. Annabeth had heard a little of this fortress game that they played while Percy was telling her about what had happened to him while they had been apart and it indeed did sound interesting.
When the boy in a way apologised for maybe sounding a little rude Annabeth smiled slightly to show that it was ok as she didn't really blame him for not trusting her. "None taken, it is wise of you to get to know somebody before placing your trust within them. Took me a whole quest before I fully trusted Percy." Annabeth said in attempts of explaining her logic. Though she doubted really that it needed to be explained since the notion was actually quite simple to perceive. "Also it's not just roman architecture that I'm interested in but all architecture. Though I must admit to Roman's did some nice work. Though I don't think I find anything as magnificent as the buildings upon Olympus itself as they were truly spectacular. Shame Cronos tore half of them down in the war." Annabeth commented though she wasn't too sad about the destruction of Olympus architecture since she had been asked to help rebuild it herself. words: 611, tag: zephyr, notes: sorry for the wait
