Jay laid down on his bunk bed in his barrack. After a hard day of training this felt like a sanctuary somewhat quiet and he could be in his lose track pants and a t-shirt. His feet were sore along with almost everything else is his body, but the boredom was way worse. Jay then decided to grab his guitar that he had bought from a man in New Rome it was a great place where all the older demigods stayed one day he hoped to be there. Jay then started to play a catchy tone that he had made up and tried to add to it but nothing came. Jay starred up at the bunk bed above his and even though he couldn’t see his dad Apollo up there he prayed for him to see him and give him some new lyrics being he was the god of music. The lyrics and chords then came to him he picked up his guitar and strummed away when he listened to his song that he had just made it was more pop/soul he liked it, it was good. He then dedicated it to his father for many reasons but mostly because he had helped Jay write it.
He then got up ignoring the pain and started playing his own concert in the middle of his barrack not thinking that anyone was watching but who cared he was in his star moment when nothing could hurt or touch him he felt like he was flying. Jay wished he could live in that moment forever. Jay then snapped out of it and decided to play something more powerful to express his rock star mood that he was feeling right now. He then started playing one of his moms favourites I love rock n’ roll Joan Jett and the blackhearts he put his whole heart into the music, being that his dad was the god of music, guitar came natural to him and it was fun and a good way to distract him. When jay was done he was even more tired then before so he just sat on his bed and played a quiet tone to himself because there was someone else there with him that he did not see before; for the first time wanting to draw attention away from himself he felt embarrassed to have just burst out playing like that but he couldn’t help it he was in the moment, the moment that he loathed for his chance to be himself and shine like the sun.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: f9f9f9; border: #d96a70 solid 10px; width: 420px; padding: 15 5 15 5px;]music's in my soul Demetria was defiantly not in a happy mood as she made her way back to the fifth cohort barracks. The people in the first cohort we're really a bunch of stuck up twits who were able to get some former members of the camps army to vouch for them because they where third or fourth generation. Demi herself didn't care if their parents or grandparents had served or not as it didn't give them the right to treat her like dirt because her mother had decided not to stick within already god fuelled bloodlines and had gone out and ventured to find love which created her. Though they also found that the fact that her she was just a child of a minor god was a good reason to pick on her too because she wasn't as 'powerful' as them.
Well Demi certainly showed them. While most people would think a daughter of Proserpina would be limited she wasn't at all. Her mother was in fact the queen of the underworld and so not only she share some of the power of the Ceres children on camp but also a few of the Pluto as well. Though until Hazel came along and Nico whenever he showed up she didn't know of the few similarities they had. Of course her powers were not as strong as there in those terms as she could open feiser's in the ground or shadow travel, but she could combined some of her powers to be able to create thorny black vines that were found in the underworld as Hazel had told her. So she had summoned some and tied the two cocky boys up in them leaving them to hop back to their barracks to get help the thrones scratching them when they moved.
Sure to some that would seem harsh but it seemed to be the only way she got some respect from that cohort at all. Though she guessed it wouldn't be long before they decided to try and get revenge upon her for it and would probably bring some of their other cohort mates along with them. But Demi had the fifth cohort to help her as after all the fifth cohort after all its bullying tended to stick up for one another. Even there senior centurion Dakota who was constantly one a sugar high would be there if anyone needed him. So twisting a piece of her currently blonde hair Demi rounded the corner so that she was facing the entrance to the fifth cohort barracks when she heard the distinctive tune of 'I love Rock and Roll' being blasted out on a guitar and it wasn't a half bad version of it either.
Entering the barracks she soon found the source of the noise to be none other than the fifth cohorts own resident Apollo camper Jay. Demi didn't know why Apollo had to choose Octavian to be his augur as he was one of the worst of the sons of Apollo not to mention leader of the stuck up first cohort. Though when Jay noticed that he wasn't alone he seemed to somewhat quietened his song choice as he sat upon his bed. "What! The concert over so soon? Don't stop on my account I was quite enjoying that." Demi said as she moved over to where Jay was sat on his bed. Demi wasn't the best of friends with Jay but they wasn't on bad terms that she was aware of as she didn't believe she had offended him in the three years that they had been at camp together.

As Jay sat on his bed and played his guitar, he watched as his friend Demetria Ryder walked into the barracks. As Demetria approached she looked very worn Jay thought but still pretty. She had said she didn’t want him to stop playing his guitar which was a relief because he was having so much fun but embarrassment always got the best of him. Jay then sat up and stopped playing still somewhat startled because he had not expected anyone to walk in. He would have liked it to be a guy most of them didn’t like Jay all that much he thought they were most likely jealous because girls were always around him without having to try to get them to notice him, at times he wished the guys would pay attention because he wanted to have some guy time without a girl bugging him even though he liked the attention sometimes he wished he could fade into the background where no one would notice him.
Jay then looked at Demetria she had obviously said something to him which he hadn’t bothered to listen to; Jay didn’t want to be like the other sons of Apollo arrogant and stuck up. But while playing out in the middle of the cabin he heard her say that she didn’t want him to stop, something along those lines he thought to himself. So Jay got up and said I’m really tired from today but I will play one song just for you, “which do you want to hear." Being on the beach his whole life with private property and a lot of free time he had learned how to play almost any song on guitar because most were alike in tune and chords. As he awaited her reply he hoped it wouldn’t be a sappy love song because he might just get another admirer. Most girls always asked him for love songs because they thought it made them special to be sang to with that kind of music when it meant nothing to Jay. As he awaited the reply he looked at her fully for the first time and realised she was very attractive trying to keep his mind focused, he kept on starring getting the cold sweats of nervousness awaiting he reply for his last song of the night.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: f9f9f9; border: #d96a70 solid 10px; width: 420px; padding: 15 5 15 5px;]music's in my soul Demetria quite enjoyed listening to a bit of music herself though it wasn't all that often you got to hear some decent music at camp since they didn't have music players or anything really. Some people who were lucky enough had iPods or their own person music players but Demi herself was not one of those people. She had run away from her family and so had no contact with them meaning the only money that she did have she earned herself now. And so anything fancy like and iPod was defiantly out of the question as they just cost too much and then she wouldn't have any way of getting the songs upon them while she was at camp unless she could get some sort of help from a child of Vulcan. And even then there was no grantee that they could do it.
Sighing quietly to herself Demi attention was back upon Jay as he explained that he was more or less rocked out for the day but he would do one last song at her request. This was the reason Demi found Jay to be different to some of the other Apollo children at camp from the supposedly higher cohorts. Unlike them Jay would actually think about other people and their feelings and not just themselves and what they would gain from it. "Oh why thank you, hummm... how about something by the Kings of Leon. Not really bothered which one as long as it has a good beat to it." Most of the songs that Demetria liked did indeed have a good solid beat to them which you could easily dance to if you wanted to. And the Kings of Leon did a good job of that in their songs.
When the first notes of the song reached Demi's ears a smile came to her face as she listened to the music. The notes where familiar to her ears as her fingers tapped out an inaudible beat upon her leg keeping in time to the music that Jay was playing. As the lyrics kicked in she listened to his voice form the words of the song. Being a son of Apollo it didn't surprise Demi that Jay could sing as quite a few of the Apollo camps retained this gift from their father as well as being naturally talented with instruments. Demi herself could sing a little though she had more of a calm quite singing voice. Though it wasn't often she would sing anyway. Though she could play and instrument rather well which was the flute as she had taken lesson with the family that had adopted her.
But seen as she didn't have all that much money from anywhere she have to save for ages to be able to purchase a decent flute from New Rome as the instruments didn't exactly come cheap. As the song depended Demi began to tap her foot to the beat as well as she was enjoying the song. Music was indeed a precious thing and she was thankful to Jay for providing her with some even if it was just for the three or four minute duration that the song lasted. Though it did eventually come to an end and Demi's ear clung on to the last note until it finally stopped ringing in her ears. "Thanks for that. It's not often I get to hear some decent music." Demi said gratefully as it had been nice to listen to something melodic of her owns tastes.

Jay picked up his guitar tiredly all his muscles hurt but he was willing to play for a friend as he stood in the middle of the room it was being on stage. Demetria had request one of his favourite bands Kings Of Leon. He thought of his favourite song from them Sex On Fire is perfect he thought. As Jay started to sing which he didn’t do too often he sang to the best of his ability to impress Demetria “lay where you’re laying, don’t make a sound I know they’re watching, they’re watching” he sang in a smooth voice. Jay was impressed with himself when he was done he hadn’t sang much but he guess he should because if he said so himself he was good. Getting out of that cocky attitude he put his guitar beside his bed now even more tired and waited for her response of what she thought of his singing hoping not to be let down.
As Jay was waiting to hear her response he went to go sit on his bed because if he stood any longer he might faint which would be embarrassing because he had a girls attention with out just using his looks which Demetria didn’t look like she cared and it was nice for a change a girl liked him because who he was and not how they looked. This got Jay thinking like a son a Venus if girls could be like that around the sons of Vulcan they would all have girlfriends because the sons of Vulcan were great dudes, all kind, unless u spill soda on their auto man which Jay had and he had been chased out of the forge with an son of Vulcan right on his heels with a hammer in his hands. This was a truly scary camp moment for Jay but ever since he apologized they had become good friends of his.
Jay then snapped out of it Demetria had said something with he was thinking. This was extremely rude of him as he smacked himself in the forehead. Jay then looked at her and flashed his most charming smile and said, “Anytime you want some music I will play I can be your personal iPod just not in the baths or while training” he then grinned still looking at Demetria.

(I hope I don't screw up the rotation! After a time of being in the arena and using props in which to hone her skills of the sword, her archery, and as well her magic which was more intuned after that fateful night a few years ago when she had accidentally used it without her knowledge and not knowing that she could do it. Anyways as her clothes and skin had a faint mixture of sweat and dirt for that was just her way to get down and dirty at times for she wasn't one to be all clean and that as she walked with purpose back to her barrack with a little less gusto then usual for it had been a vigorous and well done training session with what things were there. In which now wanting nothing to do, but to take a nice shower and to relax for a time before something else would occur in which would catch her eye, barely paying attention to the notes being played on a guitar in there she knew that it was in fact that son of Apollo which was apart of their Cohort and wished that some girls weren't so easily swayed by some men. However a ghost of a smile crossed her face before she disappeared into her room to at least wash some of the grime and muck off of her skin and afterwards drying off the wet moistened skin as it dried she went out into the area which was common to all and wasn't a private place. She sat in a chair which was near a opened window as the signs and sounds of the days end started to come through the air. She was a daughter of Trivia and so being one with the arcane arts was her fancy as if by just letting it be so a leather bound book appeared in her hands as she opened it and went through the weird and unscene characters which were on the page as if it was only able for her to see and it to be unknown by the others. Her ears still minorly peeked when she could hear the musical sounds combined with the sounds of nature as if they belonged together in that sense.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: f9f9f9; border: #d96a70 solid 10px; width: 420px; padding: 15 5 15 5px;]music's in my soul As Demetria watched Jay sit back down upon his bed it was evident that he was indeed 'rock out' for the day. It was a good job that the War Games where Chariot Races tonight which didn't require all cohort members to take physical action in the event or poor Jay might tire himself out even more than he already had done. That was one of the problems with the camps timetable. After everybody had started to relax after having a nice meal they were thrown out onto the fields of Mars and expected to take part in some sort of dispensary activity. Though while at times they could be enjoyable especially when they did manage to win it would be better to have the games before dinner as then they could relax into the evening a heck of a lot easier. But that was the Romans for you.
As Jay began to speak Demetria gave him her attention again as she listened to the words float out of his mouth. Even though he wasn't singing anymore there was still something melodic sounding to his voice in Demetria's opinion. Maybe that was just another quirk of being a son of the God of Music. When he mentioned he'd be her personal IPod she found that quite sweet and kind since he was able to provide her with music that she could afford to buy. And having grown up having more or less everything you wanted sometimes Demetria found it a little hard not having things at her finger tips. But she certainly had come a long way since she first arrived at camp. Then it had been almost heart aching not being able to have the things she desired. Now it was just like a distance throbbing that she could easily learn to ignore.
"Yeh that might be a little awkward. I'll just make my own music in my head in those times." Demetria said a smile clearly present upon her face. She wouldn't have asked Jay to play her music in those times anyway as she would probably only ask him at times like now when they were just sat in the barracks with nothing much to do other than keep one another company. It was all way nice to know that you had somebody how didn't mind talking to you as not everybody on camp was willing to talk too just anyone. Some of the supposedly higher cohorts would just brush Demetria off if she ever tried to talk to them which she found extremely rude. Didn't they know it was rude to ignore people that where talking to them, even if they didn't particularly want to converse with them. Demetria herself wasn't thrilled to be talking to them but she still did it out of curtsy and kindness.
It was then that Demi heard movement out in the main room of the barracks where people usually gather after war games to chat and hang out with the rest of the cohort before they headed to their bunks to go to bed. So poking her head out of the bunk room that she and Jay where currently occupying Demetria found another of their fellow fifth cohort members, Raven sat in a chair reading a big leather bound book. Demetria didn't know if Raven was in any mood to talk or just wanted to be left alone to read but Demi guessed that there was really any harm in saying hi to the girl. "Hey Raven, good book?" Demi asked now leaning upon the door frame so that she could see both Jay and Raven so she wasn't ignoring one of them to talk to the other.

Jay sat on his bed still smiling at Demetria jay had developed new feeling for her. Ones that he wouldn’t be able to say to her or anyone for that fact. Jays mind started to wander as her starred into her eyes she was very beautiful that could not be mistaken and she liked music which was great but still his feeling wouldn’t come out it was killing jay on the inside but he just sat there silent; jay then got frustrated the sons of Apollo were suppose to be charmers with the ladies but he couldn’t even ask her what tonight’s games were. Jay then thought of the games trying to think of something other than the girl. The camp played after everyone had ate and had a long day of training then they were expected to play games; physically jay just wouldn’t be able to do it tonight everything was sore and he didn’t feel like even playing games. All jay needed was sleep.
After sitting on his bed starring at Demetria for quite some time he realised she might think of him being creepy so he looked away and saw the daughter of trivia had come in and she was sitting in the common area reading a book. Jay hadn’t really talked to her because it seemed that she didn’t like jay all that much which was quite sad because he was always the life of the party especially in the barracks and not to mention a good guy. Just then Demetria got up noticing her and standing in the doorway and started to say something to her but not being rude he didn’t listen he then thought of what she had said, “yeh that might be a little awkward. I’ll just make my own music in my head in those times.” This was quite funny because he thought the same thing.
Jay sat there with Demetria a good two metres away and frankly he wanted her to come back, he had never felt like this before, it felt as if his heart had melted; but jay knew for the first time he was in love. As he sat there he made a pact that he would get her to like him in some way, and then ask her to be his girlfriend when he was sure she had true feelings for him; jay also then thought he should ignore all the other girls at camp that flustered around him all the time his new focus would be all about Demetria.

Balancing the book on her knees she read with turning the pages with only a motion of the hand not even touching the actual paper, but just the motion in its own and picturing the page turning in her minds' eye. Taking in the knowledge which was in this book which was handed down to her like most powerful books were she tried to learn from it as much as she possibly could. That was until the attention was broken and looked up to see the girl which she had seen in the othre one who was a daughter of the one who was trapped in the underworld.
Not wanting to put on the effect of being unkind nor sociable she smiled slightly with looking up from the book and saw her noticing that she had moved from the room which she heard the strumming and singing coming from which must of meant that she was having some good times and wanted not for Raven to seem lonely nor unwanted and so thought to commune with the other. As her brown eyes searched and then finally seeing no one else she waved friendly at the other when in fact still connected with her magic the door to that room seemed to move a little forward then back and then finally repeating another time when finally coming to rest at the same position it once was.
"Hi! Yeah it is a deep subject which to research about, sorry that I didn't come in to hear the wonderful joyous merryment of song being played in there, but it seemed like not wanting to disturb a wonderous occasion."
Not far along however a ghost of a animal appeared for it wasn't a ghost, but nay her pet and guardian which didn't always watch over her and being by her side finally resting on top of her shoddened feet putting his white soft as snow fur and curling up right there and creating a barrier for those who wish to come further would have to approve him of getting closer which at times was his mood, but nay not at this time he just wanted to be close to her as she noticed him and looking down with the smile widening for it was a wierd and odd thing for one to see, for they were quite a pair they where. Still again she didn't want to seem shy and was wondering if the other, the son of apollo would come out of the room as well and the three of them to get to know each other more than was necessary for some demigods, but better for others, for it seemed that this Cohort had a mix of minor and major godly children they'd need to combine their strengths as well as to help others with their weaknesses.
