In a place named Kansas and in a normal looking lake which was only known as such with its own ecosystem and that which only the humans knew of thought that this was just a good place to grab the flesh underneath or to have a bit of fun within. However they did not know that certain lifeforms of noble birth who dive within the glassened surface plunging into the cooled depths surpassing what would be normally the bottom and the bedrock would slide through entering into a world known only to those who could enter.
The beauty and bliss of this magnificent place was endless and would capture that of any human who were emitted to its halls that is if dying for one of their cause, or dying a hero's death and thus doing something heroic enough to be permitted within would be granted thus. It was laidened with its own little world with the reminence of bodies of water, animals, wilderness and nature, as well as castles which were inhabited by the beings who dwelled there. these were normally the newly appointed Gods as it were for those of the Greek and Roman persuasion still around and being old. While these ones were in their eyes a younger generation for these were the sons and dauhters of Greek and Roman ancestry, still adhering to the ultimate rule for all and was taht which even the gods adhered to was the grandest of rules.
As one who loved that of hunting and tracking who had proclamed his own heroic defeat roamed the wilderness in search for the next greatest of hunts for a female wolf of equal coloring of both silver and of white ran into the open with pale blue eyes and seeming to call to someone unleashing its bone-chilling howl into the world for it had caught the scent of a newly acquired scent. She was one who did not however run in a pack as you would think that wolves would do persay, but she did however travel with someone else in which she was calling towards this time. Entering the same secluded grove and seing the opening towards the skies of that world a man as rugged as one could be and being without hair on his face and cloaked in the manner of the humans with a darkened blue jacket around him laidened with the tools which was of his own liking and ready for the hunt even though it was something which was akin for if they were to kill it would be above in the world and not here, however that was not his intension for this hunt and tracking he was to learn from that of which he loved and to find something so rare and so unique to his own eyes.
However these woods seemed farily akin to him for they where the same which were quenched that ancient battle within the woods from whence he had helped flee with those who were captive in that of the evil lord. It seemed it wsn't just him and his siter who were translated and made to live with that of the others who became gods. However the trees adn shrubs didn't seemed scorched with fire nor dead, but with full refreshing everlasting life coarsing throughout their extending limbs. As it gave home to that of the birds, squirrels, adn others who seemed to glimmer in the light of thatworld. that which he and his friend were tracking was a brilliant albino white stag with a well worn rack upon its brow and its fur as white as snow, while it was at the same time as soft as the finest furs in all the land. This was one who had evaded things of all and in such to live its life eternal and giving refuge in this world in searching it to gather the information and wisdom of which it knew even if it was well known by Lykos the Great White Hunter it still was apparent to search it out and to learn of its mystery of why it had been able to evade all when its hide was the brightest of them all. was it a being of magical capability or was it just crafty enough to fool the advanced knower of the hunt.

Kansas was a boring place inhabited by even more boring people, but the same could be said for Avalon. Sure, it was a stunningly beautiful paradise worthy of the gods, but to Tzargos it was just a happier version of the hell he grew up in. Like the Underworld, everything and everyone in Avalon was so boringly unchanging. The only bright spot in the Underworld was his mother, who somehow found something appealing about that somber land.
So why the heck did Tzargos decide to visit Avalon then? Well, with his mother’s distress over Saccularius, he wanted to be the good son and cheer her up with a gift. He had his mother’s interest in fashion, although Geminus took even bolder fashion risks than him. Geminus deserved the best, and he wouldn’t find any finer pelts outside the forests of Avalon.
The only problem was that he would have to do the hunting by himself; after spending so much time in the mortal realm he didn’t have many other connections. It couldn’t be too hard. Hunting depended more on luck than skill, right? Maybe if he just planted a trap something would eventually stumble into it. Tzargos continued to ponder a plan of action as he obliviously trudged through the forest in his $2000 Italian leather shoes and $10,000 Armani suit.

Entering into the embodiment of the woods which stood there of cloaked in its own brilliance and was looking for any kind of signs of this brilliant creature so as to know of why this creature evaded so experienced not even noticing taht there was another scent around which smelt oddly stale and pundgant at the same time. In catching both of their sense of smell and wondering with modern curiosity for what could create such an odd stench.
Slinking around from the shadows of trees and shrubs and keeping his sharpened senses opened and able to catch as he went from one side and his closest friend went on the other so as to create the illousion of being surrounded their shadows lengthened with the angle of the sun making them look more like trees than animal and man. It was about two maybe three hundred yards until the scent was most strong and so the two of them stopped in their hiding places reaady to capture the thing off guard and ready to surprise their prey, in which to find out of whom was attempting to track something as in hunting whatever it was and possibly schooling the inexperienced one of the craft if it was so!

Tzargos's patience was wearing thin. Hunting was turning out to be more boring than Bingo. He wasn't going to just wait here all day for his numbers to get called. Reaching into his pocket, he randomly pulled out a hand of five cards; two pairs and a joker. How they heck did that get in there? He usually took the jokers out of his deck.
Oh well, it didn't matter. Not the luckiest draw, but no risk, no reward. Tzargos fanned out the cards in his hand and sent them flying with a flick of the wrist. They all zoomed away in different directions, not losing any momentum as the razor sharp edges sliced through every obstacle in their path. As a tree branch fell to the ground with a thud, Tzargos thought he saw something stirring out the corner of his eye.
He quickly spun around in its direction and approached with long, confident strides. When the cards returned to his hand like boomerangs, he pocketed all of them except for the Seven of Diamonds. "Alright beast, it's time for you to come out and meet your fate. You may have been able to evade the most skilled hunters, but today you're up against luck."

As he and his companion awaited to see of who would create this musky foul smell awaiting and their patience which was like waiting on pins and needles finally saw of what was in the forest with its few Dryads which took refuge in the wood. It seemed that this was one who wasn't at all one accomplished with patience and the skill that came with the hunt. Seeing the five cards as they soared towards the direction in which his friend Lankos stood as if a large version of a Timber Wolf as her shadow leveled out far from the place in which she was in actually hiding, while up in the sky not far from their current position a wild pergrine falcon flew as it rested on a high branch.
The fwape and the clunk as the portion of the tree closest to her fell on the ground. It stirred up something primal and animalistic for he didn't much care for those who tracked and hunted, but if it was in danger of his friends and pets or his sister it'd be your last. Still he didn't want to rush into it just yet for he wanted to show that he had control over his feelings for her. For Lankos was for not in that paticular area, but still it was close. Quickly switching position and finding a close in ranged bush that could hide him in a crouch as well as unsheathing one of his faithful daggers ready to spring to action if it was warranted.
The man turned to where the reminance of his shadow was as coming with his own weapon in hand with anticipation wanting to strike as Zallkann watched above with its more than perfect vision. With his pale blue eyes he watched through the tiny branches as if Lankos caught the same thing she moved from her place quick as light itself came from his right side to the left. Giving the same illousion hoping to get this one off his guard and surprise him.
Throwing his voice to seem that it was where he once was where the other had seen the shadow seeming as if he was still yet there and awaiting for him to approach that area to attack or to defend if that was at all warranted either with a embodied voice ringing from that area perfectly.
Why do thy entrude on these the peacefulness of the wood does your mission at hand offer for blood to be spilt onto the land, or are thy intentions for only seeking for what thee doest not already have?

The steady, fearless pace of footsteps on crumpled foliage came to a sudden halt. Who was this hiding punk to insinuate that he was intruding on anything? Last time Tzargos checked, he was a Vea god and was entitled to roam the lands of Avalon as he pleased. However, he usually chose to avoid the place entirely and was now remembering why. Everyone here talked funny. The gods were usually opposed to change, and for the most part Avalon seemed frozen in the medieval era.
"Uh, no hablo Espanol, mi amigo. I'm just here for a pelt. Rumor is that there's a beast here that has the best one you get, but no one's been able to find it. What's it to you?" Throwing caution to the wind, he suddenly leapt over to the source of the voice, hoping to catch it by surprise. Instead, he was shocked to see that nothing was there. Something about the whole situation really was odd, and his normally easy-going and confident attitude was beginning to waver just a little bit. "Alright, what's going on?"
Tzargos held the Seven of Diamonds between his index and middle finger and rose his arm in an attack stance. He didn't like to fight, and was hoping this little expedition would be a quick and easy one. But he was ready to strike if necessary, his eyes shifting around suspiciously and analyzing the surrounding environment for attack possibilities. If the stranger didn't come out willingly, he might have to draw them out again.

As if anticipating this reaction from Tzargos and seeing that luck was only half of what happened when you entered into the hunt as if by whistle of a unknown bird call it was a signal to that which was above. The bird of prey unfolded its wings and leapt from the limb as it rose making a sound of leaves dropping and the cringe of the branch giving him a sound in which to hide his movements as he moved quickly to another spot seeming to taunt the man into submission or to anger which he'd forget about that which was around him.
The Falcon made its cry as it rose into the air which seemed to be a chain reaction for that was when Lankos also moved to keep this thing in an ever binding trap would it take or would one of them make a bad move. He waited to see of what Tzargos would do of next for seeing only a bird of prey moving would it take or would he know that the bird wasn't where the voice had came from.
Still Lykos loved his little games with others for it not only helped him and his friends to keep their skills sharp, but it also was fun to see what reactions would become of these little games. sure some didn't much like it although in hindsight they'd see that he was only testing them and those who saw for what this was and was able to track him and his friends would gain a great friend and tracker at least for the time.
"I see so you've merely come in search of a treasure which is not of yours, but you are willing to go the distance in which to find this great and brilliant thing of beauty, then in all means track which thou has not acquired and try and see what it holds dear to you!
Again he threw his voice to another portion of the forest not far, but not close either seeming if this would confuse the God and make him either think reasonally or to act reckless and in haste of getting ahold of this creature, this punk who didn't want to show himself, but gave such taunts and hints for him to try and find the true thing. Lankos was starting to get a little antsy as in waiting anxiously tempted to rush and take apart this thing or to at least charge it, but because of the link between her and him Lykos was able to calm her down at least enough to not do it just yet or at least to be patient for the time would come to act sooner than she thought.

Now it was quite obvious that this annoying punk was playing a game with him. And if there was one thing he took seriously, it was winning at games. The way he'd acted so far, he was behind. Time for Tzargos to put his poker face on. According to the fundamental theorem of poker, 'every time you play a hand differently from the way you would have played it if you could see all your opponents' cards, they gain'. So far, he had acted without knowing exactly what he was up against. However, he could still salvage this game. He had shown the opponent he was impatient and impulsive, but Tzargos hadn't played all his cards yet.
Tzargos unbuttoned his custom-tailored sports coat and folded it in half before slinging it over his shoulders. He then unfastened the buttons on his shirt cuffs and neatly rolled up the sleeves. Getting down and dirty doesn't mean you have to completely ruin your favorite suit. He knelt down onto the crumbling mulch of the moist forest floor and examined it carefully. Poker wasn't too different from tracking; you observe and discern all the little clues put down on the table, try to recreate what happened, then make predictions about the quarry. With a little skill and luck combined, your predictions would more than likely prove true.
He replayed the entire scenario in his head. When his card brought that branch falling down, he knew for sure he saw something else move. But right after that the man's voice came from this exact same location, and now it was completely deserted. Overhead there was a rustling of leaves; when Tzargos looked up he caught a brief glimpse of a bird taking to the sky. It all happened so quickly before the next moment when he heard the man's voice again, this time from another location completely. This time he refused to follow it right away.
Still on the ground, he surveyed the area around him for some kind of prints. Sure enough, off just a little bit further, the ground seemed to have been recently disturbed by a creature of some sort, and just a ways from that the tracks continued. It seemed to suggest they belonged to some quick, powerful animal capable of such far apart leaps. Tzargos had to give credit where credit was due; this group was good, but Tzargos was better if he may say so himself. Although quite frustrating at first, this game was quite the thrill. Reminded him of when he defeated the Master of the Playing Cards at his own game.
Strongly resisting the urge to make some smart-ass comment, Tzargos rose to cautiously follow the trail. As silly as the notion was, he was beginning to believe that the man, the bird, and some other creature were all in cahoots.

As he sought that this other was starting to get his wits and to know the truth of which he was showing this God of Luck that it needed to be taught to him if he was to go in search of this which he sought out for himself or more his mother's sake. Still he didn't want for the game to be lost too soon and in which started on his own search for this stag. As well as to also show this one of how to track for that which would be able to track and catch him would be one to share the reaped rewards of his own, for Lykos just wanted to gain the wisdom and intelligence and this one well wanted its beautiful pelt. As it had seemed that his four legged friend was getting ever more antsy and in wanting to rush at him he spoke telepathically to his friend and bonded sister for he and the lady of the animals were twins and thus sort of shared them at times. Still he gave instruction for Lankoz to rush at him for as a divertion as well as to say scare him in away. However he didn't want for her to attack unless it was a minor injury.
As he stood on his haunches ready to go like the Mountain Lion in fast speeds told her one single word which signaled for her to go for it. After the thought was shot towards her he moved and so did she running out of the brush and showing her larger than life size for this was no ordinary Timber Wolf as she went forward with swift intelligent speed and in leaping on his back and scratching the god only minorly hopefully in getting his attention and turning around in which she would be gone like her friend and companion as well as in 'come and get me' sort of way which the god of tracking and hunting was already at least half a football field span away awaiting for her to join up with him and in putting an arm outward the Falcon like a trained bird landed on his shoulder leaning in a high place in a tree he awaited for her to lead the one who knew only a couple things about which he knew oh so well. Taking in a whiff of air the small hairs within his nostrils detected something on the wind, something in which wasn't to far and yet wasn't Tzargos. For even though one could see the tracks it was another to follow something before it getting lost.
