Artemis is also an avid hunter with a set of arrows to match her brother's. She also takes her chastity seriously, dealing mercilessly with anyone who threatens to compromise even the modesty of her attendants. Usually Artemis prefers a swift, direct means of death, which she accomplishes with her arrows. Aside from Hera's torment, Artemis had a happy existence. Artemis has two sides of her, the fierce and lively goddess of the Hunt and the mysterious and serene goddess of the Moon. In her two sides, she is mostly seen as the the Goddess of Hunt, where she wears a short tunic with her hair into a ponytail, holding a bow and quiver and mostly with her golden stag. When she is the Goddess of the Moon, she wears a long gossamer dress and has her hair held up.

History:
Greek goddess Artemis was born in Mount Cynthus at the island of Delos in Greece as a daughter of Zeus, the Ruler of the Greek gods and the mortal Leto. Artemis' twin brother was Apollo, the god of the Sun, whereas Artemis' cult was connected with the Moon. She had been born before Apollo and had helped her mother Leto to give birth to her little brother. As a child, Artemis had asked from her father Zeus to remain an eternal virgin and therefore became one of the three Virgin Goddesses in Greek mythology. Hestia, Athena, and Artemis made an oath on the River Styx to Zeus saying that they would not marry and would stay virgins for eternity.

Artemis, along with her twin brother, Apollo, showed great love for their mother, Leto. An example of this is when Queen Niobe insulted Leto and Artemis and Apollo sought revenge. They killed Niobe's seven daughters and seven sons. It is said that Artemis spared the youngest daughter of Niobe. Artemis accepted Thalia as a hunter,after the death of Zoe Nightshade who becomes her first lieutenant.

Artemis is mostly seen as to be annoyed and distant from Apollo, maybe because of her strict attitude towards men and him for being so carefree. Though they are shown to be arguing, Artemis and Apollo show a strong bond between siblings.

Artemis leads a group of teenage girls known as the Hunters of Artemis. The Hunters pledge to give up love in exchange for immortality. The Hunters never grow up and can only die if they are killed in battle or break their oath. She is the twin sister of Apollo. Cabin 8 at Camp Half-Blood is dedicated to her and her group of huntresses.

The Hunters are Artemis' handmaidens, young maidens who are given the gift of immortality, the skill of archery and strength. The Hunters had a choice whether to be this way or remain normal. A hunter must not fall in love or rather more specifically, lose her maidenhood, for she loses her immortality as a result dies, or she will die in battle. They are the closest thing to children Artemis has. While the Hunters are immortal, they can still die in battle or if they break their vows, the gift of immortality can be lifted.

The Hunters never grow up and can only die if they are killed in battle or break their oath. Artemis leaves the Hunters to pursue a monster that has the potential to destroy Olympus. Artemis was shown a vision of Annabeth straining to hold the world up and so goes to Mount Tam where she is trapped by Atlas and is forced to hold up the sky. She is rescued by Percy who holds the sky for her so she can fight Atlas. Artemis and Percy trick Atlas into holding the sky again.

Artemis along with the other Olympians tried to stop Typhoon as he made his way towards new york but they weren't able to defeat him until Poseidon stepped in and together they all defeated him.

He looked around and saw a tavern not far from where they stood.

Motioning to it he hoped she would understand “ let's go some where dry “ he said moving towards it his back clearly showing a red streak threw the thin white fabric that was his now soaked and showing his torso as he moved to the taverns heavy oak door and pushed it open the sound of men laughing came from some place inside the building. He stepped back from the door waiting for her to enter , he might have been a thief but he was still a gentle man where women were concerned.
