Clothing style: Kai Starshine is quite relaxed in what he wears. He can typically be seen wearing a t-shirt – the camp’s green T-shirt or another one – and jeans, which are always a dark blue in colour. For warmth, he’ll have a dark green jumper with a zip at the top. When training or in battle, Kai and other Mouggos kids don’t tend to wear much armour, since their fighting style needs free movement. The only armour he does wear is a breast plate and knee-pads.

  Upon meeting Kai, you'll see that he's rather shy but he'll be himself after a period of time. He's really friendly and likes to make new friends. When with friends, he can have a laugh and tease his friends but knowing his limits. Kai is extremely loyal to his friends and doesn’t like to see them get hurt.
  
  Kai has learned to observe people through body language and the tone and way in which they speak. He can tell what mood they’re in just by looking at them. Kai is also an observer when it comes to his surroundings, watching the little things that most people might miss. Being mute isn't that amazing and Kai will have bouts of depression and subsequently has gained mild to medium case of an inferiority complex.
  
  If Kai likes a girl, he'll be shy and awkward around them until he professes his love for them, which probably will either take him a long time for him to do so or he'll just tell them after a few days. When he does date someone, he'll be a fiery and passionate lover, making his lover's life enjoyable while making sure that they both listen to each other's problems. If his lover is in trouble, then Kai will stand by them no matter what.
  
  Kai's enemies better beware of his rage. He's a cold as ice when dealing with enemies. If one of his enemies has harmed one of his loved ones, then he'll track them down and make them pay for what they've done.

  Kai Starshine is the demigod son of Lisa Starshine and Mouggos. His parents met when a cousin of Lisa’s brought in a deaf son. They hit it off right away. After two dates and nine months later, Kai was born. When this happened, Mouggos told his lover that he was a God and that should Kai come under attack, she should send for someone to collect him and take him to a camp in Kansas. He gave her an ordinary-looking whistle and stated that she should use it the first time their son was attacked. Lisa didn’t believe Mouggos but kept the whistle, anyway. He would send a mortal friend of his mortal alter ego to Lisa Starshine and their son to teach them American Sign Language.
  
  Kai’s infancy was fairly normal, the friend met up with the Starshines on a weekly basis and taught Lisa the basics of sign language. There was one incident, however, when one of the new babysitters tried to kill Kai by burning him alive. The babysitter turned out to be a monster. Luckily for the poor child, he was saved by a large mockingbird, who drove the monster away. Mouggos had been watching and had sent the mockingbird. Lisa hadn’t known of this incident and would think that the babysitter had abruptly left.
  
  Kai’s childhood was filled with school, sign language lessons and flute lessons – he had taken an interest in the instrument when he was three. His powers emerged when he was seven years old, though he kept them a secret. For the next several years, everything seemed fine, Kai came to know more signs in American Sign Language, he honed his powers and became learned in acrobatics and chi blocking and was able to play the flute efficiently. It would be when Kai was nine that he saw his father. Mouggos came to visit Lisa and Kai. Kai’s mother was outraged by her lover’s abrupt return and yelled at him for a good hour before she was stunned into silence with her lover’s summoning of a mockingbird. Mouggos also increased the nearby sounds so she was able to hear her next-door neighbour talking on the phone. Lisa believed him after this and officially presented Kai to Mouggos.
  
  Kai demonstrated his acrobatic and chi blocking skills to his father, who was impressed. Mouggos told his son a little secret: that Kai had got his acrobatic and chi blocking skills from him. Kai was confused, he’d just found out that this man was his father and now he was being told that he had inherited some of his father’s abilities. Kai grew to like Mouggos and the God grew to be fond of his son. As a present to Kai, Mouggos granted the gift of speech and helped him to better hone his powers. Mouggos stayed a total of five days, during which time the two bonded and Kai got a better understanding of his powers. He was told of the Vea Gods and about the camp. Just before Mouggos left he smiled to his son and said that Kai would continue to make him proud.
  
  Several more years passed and Kai was reaching his thirteenth birthday. The ginger-haired boy had practically mastered American Sign Language by now, and was quite adept in the use of his powers. It would be on Kai’s birthday when a band of monsters attacked. Kai used his powers against the monsters, trying his best to keep his mother safe. After the monsters were defeated, Lisa blew on the whistle, summoning a flock of mockingbirds to take Kai to Camp Zion before being killed by a still alive monster. The monster was in turn killed by a very large mockingbird. There, he was officially claimed as a son of Mouggos the following Sunday. Kai has been at the camp ever since, helping new demigods within the camp and helping Yumi, his half-sister, in the bloodline quarters.

  The Underworld, where the dead go when they die. Where the heroic receive a blessed life of eternity and purely evil-hearted spend eternity doing horrific punishments for their deeds on Earth. The Lord of the Underworld was currently in his bedchambers trying to think of a lovely anniversary gift to give to his beloved wife: Persephone. It had been thirteen years since they had been married and Hades was still in love with her. Yes, he still felt guilt over making his sister weep over the loss of her daughter and thereby making no food grow but he had been lonely back then. Back then, his desire to have Persephone had outweighed the consequences he knew were sure to come.
  
  He had gone through a dozen ideas but none seemed to have matched the love he felt for Persephone. True he had gone after two nymphs during one of their drier patches of marriages but Persephone had quickly reminded him that she was his wife and not to be taken lightly. So, from that moment on Hades had become a dutiful husband. This was rather infuriating! The Lord of Underworld could handle dishing out punishments perfectly well but when it came to his own wife, he became like a little schoolboy, who was afraid to do anything to displease his new friend!
  
  Letting out a frustrated sigh, Hades decided to tend to some of his subjects; ones who had become lax as of late. That should put him in a better frame of mind to continue thinking of anniversary gifts. So, getting up from his bed, the Lord of the Underworld walked out of the room. It wasn’t long before he sensed a familiar aura. He smiled, knowing who it was. He saw a servant, and gave them a rare Hades smile. He said for them to go as he knew who it was. To make it quicker for him and his special guest, he shadow-travelled into the throne room, and walked in front of them. He embraced her in a loving hug.
