Weapons: Being a son of the god of the forge Jake has learnt to used most weapons that he has made himself. Though being on crutches he can't really operate a sword as he would like to and so has taken more throwing approach more recently.
Fighting Style style: Jake used to fight fiercely with a sword and other items which he has crafted. But since being on crutches he has had to take a back seat when it comes to battle and his taken up more throwing objects and trap building ways in which to fight.
Overall: Jake is a friendly sole who after his recent spout of isolation doesn't like to be alone. He likes to be active but finds it rather hard considering he is on crutches and will be for a considerable amount of time. He likes to be out in the open breathing in the fresh air and filling his lunge or in the forge working hard doing something because of the time he spent in a full body cast unable to do more or less anything. So now he tries to be as active as he can be on crutches and often has to be told to take it careful or he'll hurt himself again. Jake is also one of the most happy and friendly guys you'll meet as he always looks on the bright side of things and is always trying to be mister positivity even when he was bedridden.
Jake is also a natural teacher as he loves showing the younger campers how to do things especially in the forge. He finds the role rewards as he loves to see the smiles on their faces when they succeed with their goals which in turn make he himself smile. It's not often now that Jake feel's down or upset as he's learned to appreciate what he has and make the best of it as at one point her thought that he might not walk again. It is also because of this that he is a very determined guy who never gives up on what he believes in. This makes him a brilliant mentor as he is willing to stand by people and push them to their true potential. Though he knows when not to push people too as sometimes people need a break if they are to work better later on.
HISTORY

History:Valerie Manson is the daughter of a well known D.C mechanic. She went to law school and now works as a lawyer in the city. But one night after a tough case she went to her father's workshop to blow off some steam when she met the man of her dreams. At the time she didn't know it but the man was Hephaestus the god of the forge. She impressed him as he didn't think she be any good with a wrench seeing she was dressed for the courts but she soon showed him. A little while after they began dating Valerie fell pregnant. Hephaestus stayed with her until a few weeks after Jake was born when he told her he had to go back to New York to sort some family issues out but he never came back. Leaving Valerie to bring Jake up all by herself.
Luckily being a lawyer she had been well paid and so could afford to take a leave of absence without having to worry about money running out. Though she never spoiled Jake as a child as she herself hadn’t had all that much and she taught Jake that you had to work hard to get what you wanted and not expect it to be handed to him. When Jake was old enough to walk and talk about the age of three or four years old instead of his mother saying home she went back to work and Jake would be baby sat by his grandfather at the garage. Of course Jake was kept away from the heavy machinery but he did manage to get his hands one some scarps from the work shop and he began making little toys to amusing himself with. His grandfather was amazed by this and when Jake was about seven he began teaching him all about mechanic's after school as Jake would drop by day when his classes where over.
Though when Jake was around twelve year old an event happened that changed his life. A man came into the garage wanting to get his bike fixed but Jake grandfather was out back somewhere so Jake asked him what he wanted. The man just smiled at him before unsheathing a blade and attempted to attack him. Jake managed to duck behind a car just in time so the blade when into the car bonnet and not himself. As he backed up Jake felt a hand on his shoulder and he thought the man had gone around the back of the car but he found it was his grandfather's apprentice who kick the man into a cabinet which crumpled around him. He told Jake it wasn't safe anymore and said he needed to go to New York.
When his mother found out about this she demanded why she should take his word for it and it was then his grandfather's apprentice did something rather strange. He removed his pants right in front of them though instead of pasty flabby flesh there were wiry haired goat’s legs. He told them all about camp halfblood saying it was likely his father was one of the gods and that Jake need to get to Camp Halfblood if he was going to be safe. His mother bought the both plane tickets and helped Jake pack his bags. It was then they said goodbye and Jake promised that he would come back as soon as he could. Since then Jake has trained with many items and has been claimed as a son of Hephaestus and so when he returned home after the camps summer activities he told his mother who his father really was.
For all the years that lead up to the War of Manhattan Jake when to camp in the summer and stayed at home the rest of the year like many campers did. Though after the War of Manhattan he chose to stay at camp and help out knowing that he was best needed their than some city college in D.C. Though it was between the time of the War and the arrival of Jason, Piper and Leo that Jake was put into a full body cast and confined to his bed after he tried to capture and fix the rampant metal dragon roaming the camps forest. It was this that made Jake feel isolated as while the rest of his cabin mates could go out and do things he was stuck in his bed unable to do anything but watch TV. He had been made Head counsellor of his cabin after the death of Charles Beckenidorf but he freely gave to role to Leo Valdez when he came along.
Now Jake is a lot happier since he is out of his bed and able to hobble around camp upon crutches. He has been home to visit his mother for a weekend to show her he's ok and on the mend as he knew she was worried about him. But other than that Jake has stayed at camp and even helped Leo build the Argo Mark Two after he discovered Bunker Nine. Now Jake is watching over the cabin for Leo while he's off on a quest and just hopes that he isn't useless the next time they are called to fight.

Tonight was the night. New Years Eve. Another year had gone and this was the last time Nerina would be able to welcome in the New Year at Hogwarts and so she was going to make sure that she enjoyed herself. Her dress wasn't anything fancy just nice and simple with a bit of elegance as she wasn't one for going all out at balls as she knew she wouldn't feel terribly comfortable frocked up to the high heavens in makeup and frills. And you weren’t going to be able to enjoy yourself at the ball if your wasn't comfortable with what you where wearing. You would be constantly checking things and worrying about things that wasn't even important and so Nerina didn't even bother with all that. She wore a bit of make up like eye shadow and foundation so she didn't look washed out or anything as it was easily done with her pale skin. But everything was tasteful as Nerina new anyone who wasn't dressed tastefully would be escorted about by one of the chaperoning professor's.
Brushing down her dress which was a simple black dress brought in at the waist Nerina tied the straps of her shoes upon her feat which were also simple and black like her dress. Nerina thought that the dress suited her as it wasn't flashy or sparkle to grab other attention as Nerina herself wasn't much of an attention seeker at all. It was a quiet and subtle dress which suited Nerina much better on the whole. Unlike some other students Nerina hadn't even bothered to even find a date as she wasn't bothered by all this fuss some people had about going stag to a ball. Nerina would probably just end up hanging around with some of her other friends how didn't have dates as she didn't want to pry upon those who did. She didn't really care if she was on her own when the New Year came upon them. Also long as she had a good time there she would be perfectly fine and happy to entertain herself as watching others could be entertainment in itself.
Grabbing her bag which held her wand and other sorts of things she may need for the night Nerina headed down into he common room where a few others were gathered either waiting for friends or dates she supposed. Not having really made any arrangements with anybody Nerina greet those who greeted her as she passed before heading out of the Ravenclaw common room. There were plenty of people on the staircase as Nerina made her own way down to the hall. Somewhere going up to collect or wait for their dates others were going down to the hall or maybe even collect their dates from Hufflepuff or Slytherin. Hogwarts was defiantly a lot busier now than it had been over Christmas with the majority of their student returning from Christmas break today. It brought a smile to Nerina's face to see the school filled again as though while it was nice when it was quite it did make Hogwarts feel a little strange than what Nerina was used to.
It wasn't long before Nerina was stood at the entrance to the great hall and was gazing upon the banners of purple and gold that now decorated the great hall the New Years festivities. It was truly marvellous and creative what they did with the effects on the ceiling. So walking in Nerina made her way over to the refreshment to get herself a drink as she knew it usually got spike at some point and wanted to sample it before such a thing happened.
