APPERANCE
Species: Greek Demigod
Hair: Dirty blonde
Eyes: Pale blue
Skin: Caucasian
Stature: Slightly muscular
Clothing style: Lacey doesn’t have the typical Aphrodite look. She stands out from her half-siblings – she seems like a plain Jane, or that’s how she views herself. She tends to wear mostly t-shirts coupled with jeans and body warmers, with the occasional jacket for warmth. She’s not big on designer brands and so just has what Drew calls “plain and disgustingly hideous clothing”. For big festivals like Fireworks Night, Lacey puts on a strappy top with a denim jacket and denim mini-skirt, black tights and knee-length boots.
Distinguishing features: Pig tails and braces
PERSONALITY
Likes: Piper McLean, the colour yellow, uniqueness, dolphins, skateboarding
Dislikes: Ares, unnecessary bloodshed, her half-sister, Drew, dislikes that she’s not beautiful, monsters, the colour red - it's such an ugly colour
Strengths: Skateboarding, Knows stuff that some of her half-siblings don’t, knows how to lock pick – a son of Hermes taught her
Weaknesses: Isn’t as good-looking as some of her half-siblings, doesn’t have much confidence and has a phobia of needles
Fears: Fears that her mother will not like her if she ever does meet Aphrodite, that she’ll never be as great as her half-sister, Piper and that she’ll be useless in battle
Weapons: a celestial bronze double sword
Fighting Style: close combat
Overall:
Lacey Brown unfortunately isn’t like other children of Aphrodite. One of her worst traits is her clumsiness. She tends to bump into things often, and drop items. She doesn’t mean to, but she can’t help it. Lacey isn’t classed as beautiful but as “pretty”. She suffered teasing and bullying at the hands of her half-sister, Drew, but was overjoyed when Piper McLean challenged her for the Head Counsellor position and won. Lacey would like to be prettier and to have more confidence. Lacey is vain (she’s a daughter of Aphrodite, after all) but not overly so.
Despite Lacey’s bad traits, she does have good ones. She is one of the nicer Aphrodite kids. She will listen to you and offer the best advice she can, if you have a problem. One thing that does make her stand out from other Aphrodite girls is her love for skateboarding. She tends to be ostracised for that. Lacey isn’t able to skateboard, which make her a little sad but she doesn’t mind it too much. Lacey also has knowledge of various things, things that her brothers and sisters wouldn’t necessarily know.
Lacey isn’t big on confrontation and so will clamp her mouth shut. Enemies are dealt with an icy stare and a frosty walk-off. She’s not a natural combatant and often fails at Capture the Flag, however she wishes to change that by asking Piper or a more experience fighter. Lacey unfortunately doesn’t have many friends, only Mitchell, Piper and few others. She hopes to gain in confidence and hopes that she’s sent on a quest so she can rub it in Drew’s face.
HISTORY
Born: 15th May
Homeland: LA, Calfornia
History:
Lacey Brown is the daughter of Aphrodite, Goddess of Love and Beauty and the mortal Marcus Brown. Like many of children of Aphrodite Lacey was the product of a short but passionate affair. She was given to her father via Zephyr the West Wind. Lacey was a beauty in her father’s eyes, and everyone else’s. She could do no wrong. From infant to toddler, Lacey was becoming a rather introvert, pretty girl but the one thing that brought her out of her shell was skateboarding. She used to watch skateboarding with her dad and just be entranced by it all.
As time passed Lacey became more introvert and prettier. However, she also began to see monsters, her father didn’t believe her naturally. She saw them frequently but they never seemed to attack for some reason. The daughter of Aphrodite would get her braces at age seven, and would earn the nickname ‘Bracebutt’. She was teased for ADHD and dyslexia though hers wasn’t as bad as some of the demigods she’d meet later on in her life.
She found, however, that as she got older she became prettier and “cute” in the eyes of boys. She didn’t understand why boys started to suddenly like her – she was, after all, just being herself – just her introvert and quiet self. After a while she got worried about it and talked to her dad about it and he reassured her that everything would be fine but secretly worrying. It would be age ten that Lacey would almost be attacked by a monster. It was when she was skateboarding and a boy with a skateboard came up to her and asked if she was up for a challenge. Unaware that the boy was a monster Lacey accepted. She gained enough speed to speed on ahead. The monster thought this was the appropriate time for him to strike but just as he was about to another boy came up and introduced himself as Kip. The monster backed off and Lacey immediately befriended Kip. It would be two years later her father died in a monster attack that was meant for Lacey. She was devastated, Kip found her crying over her father’s dead body. He then whisked her away to Camp Half-Blood, where she began to cope with her father’s death gradually. However, Drew, her half-sister didn’t make it easy. She was bullied by Drew, who made the cabin fear her if they didn’t do things her way. She met and befriended Mitchell, her half-brother, whom she was close friends with.
Two years later and Lacey met and befriended Piper McLean, her new half-sister. She was glad Piper wasn’t like Drew and was overjoyed when she challenged Drew for the position of Head Counsellor and won. She is now beginning to learn how to fight properly and hopes to go on a quest and rub it in Drew’s face.

The Underworld, where the dead go when they die. Where the heroic receive a blessed life of eternity and purely evil-hearted spend eternity doing horrific punishments for their deeds on Earth. The Lord of the Underworld was currently in his bedchambers trying to think of a lovely anniversary gift to give to his beloved wife: Persephone. It had been thirteen years since they had been married and Hades was still in love with her. Yes, he still felt guilt over making his sister weep over the loss of her daughter and thereby making no food grow but he had been lonely back then. Back then, his desire to have Persephone had outweighed the consequences he knew were sure to come.
He had gone through a dozen ideas but none seemed to have matched the love he felt for Persephone. True he had gone after two nymphs during one of their drier patches of marriages but Persephone had quickly reminded him that she was his wife and not to be taken lightly. So, from that moment on Hades had become a dutiful husband. This was rather infuriating! The Lord of Underworld could handle dishing out punishments perfectly well but when it came to his own wife, he became like a little schoolboy, who was afraid to do anything to displease his new friend!
Letting out a frustrated sigh, Hades decided to tend to some of his subjects; ones who had become lax as of late. That should put him in a better frame of mind to continue thinking of anniversary gifts. So, getting up from his bed, the Lord of the Underworld walked out of the room. It wasn’t long before he sensed a familiar aura. He smiled, knowing who it was. He saw a servant, and gave them a rare Hades smile. He said for them to go as he knew who it was. To make it quicker for him and his special guest, he shadow-travelled into the throne room, and walked in front of them. He embraced her in a loving hug.
“Mother, so good to see you. How are things?”
