Skin: Caucasian
Stature: Slightly muscular
Clothing style: ou’d think that a son of Aphrodite and Ares would be flaunting his body, and wearing nothing but a sash, wouldn’t you? You couldn’t be more wrong. For the most part, Anteros wears a lavish purple chiton with silver edges. He doesn’t see the need to go overboard for everyday attire. When it comes to partying – that is a different matter, however. Anteros wears dazzling silver robes, spun from moonlight. They shimmer and sparkle, almost blinding people. He never wears sandals – they’d become ruined from all the dirt in the mortal realm!
Distinguishing features: Anteros has a pair of multicoloured, retractable butterfly wings and a golden club.
PERSONALITY
Likes: Love returned, His family (he believes that deep down, they actually all do love each other), the colour silver, nature, playing with his brother, Eros, the sea – his mother was born from it, after all.
Dislikes: Love scorned, unnecessary bloodshed, his half-brothers Phobos and Deimos, dark gloomy places such as the Underworld, seeing either of his parents angry, the colour red - it's such an ugly colour
Strengths: Exceptional archer, Is intelligent (thankfully) and has been known to read at times, and is currently trying to learn new skills and is quite charming.
Weaknesses: Not very good with hand-to-hand combat, since he is the youngest in the family, Anteros doesn’t like it when his mother dotes on the others and she ignores him and is prone to bouts of vanity.
Fears: Fears that he’ll fade away, fears that Gaia will win, and that he’s as strong and powerful in combat as his parents are
Weapons: Bow, quiver of arrows and golden club
Fighting Style: Mostly aerial combat and archery
Overall:
For the most part, Anteros is a happy, youthful Minor God who enjoys seeing Love Returned. He likes playing with his brother, Eros and feels with his whole being that Love isn’t Love until it is Returned. That being said, when it is scorned, then run for the hills, seriously. He may be just a Minor God but he packs some serious power. You do NOT want to make him mad – not unless you want to die. He is closest with Eros, for obvious reasons, his sister Harmonia and occasionally, his mother. He views his older brothers, Phobos and Deimos, as nothing more than plagues, since they are almost the opposite of Eros and himself. His father, well...let’s just say that Anteros views him as a barbarian with a lust for killing beautiful, innocent people but he does love him.
With the rest of his family, Anteros tries to keep relations peaceful and happy. One of the very first things he did was befriend his mother’s husband. For a son of Aphrodite, he is very bitter at his mother for not loving Hephaestus. In this aspect, he is quite caring towards people, even “ugly people” as his mother calls them. He also tries to spend time with his family members, seeing as how they are family and he likes to see how they are faring? What? Is that a crime?
When it comes to enemies, Anteros has quite a dangerous air about him. He may not be as powerful as an Olympian but still. He will smile and be all nice when someone insults him or his family but will then go away and scheme on how to get revenge. Also, scorning love, don’t do it, EVER! Not a very wise thing to do. Certain family members are also a big no-no, too. In battle, he mainly uses his divine powers, coupled with either his bow and arrows or his golden club. He will use also aerial attacks to his advantage, preferring to use the clouds as hiding points if he is overwhelmed.
HISTORY
Born: N/A
Homeland: N/A
History: Anteros’s origin is sweet. Born the youngest to Ares, God of War, and Aphrodite, Goddess of Love, Anteros was given to Eros as a playmate. Anteros was the spitting image of Eros, and both Eros and Aphrodite doted on him. Aphrodite believed that love isn’t proper love if it is not answered, hence why Anteros was given to her beautiful son, Eros. Phobos and Deimos clearly disliked him. They once tried to put him in a pit of poisonous snakes when he was still just a babe. Thankfully, his mother saved him, and punished those two no-good siblings.
Anteros was a happy child and delighted in playing with his mother and older brother. He was given Eros’s old quiver of arrows and bow. Through extensive practices with Apollo, Anteros became an exceptional archer. He also discovered his beautiful butterfly wings and delighted in practising with them. He would challenge Apollo to races in the sky, with Apollo in his chariot and Anteros using his wings just to get his manoeuvrability fine tuned. He was given a golden club, by his mother’s husband, Hephaestus. Anteros liked him, though he was deemed “ugly” by his brother and mother. Anteros didn’t care, though. He just viewed the lame God as any other God. He would visit the God of the Forge often – telling him stories of the outside world.
When Anteros was twelve he was presented to the Olympians. The process went smoothly, though Hephaestus was a little cold when it was mentioned that Ares was his father. After he had been presented to the other Olympians Anteros reflected on his relationship with his father. He noted that while he did love his father, he viewed him as a barbarian with a lust for killing innocents and realised that his mother’s husband was more of a father figure. His stay on the higher levels of Olympus was filled with chatting and laughing with the Olympians. He stayed close to his mother, somewhat nervous by Zeus and Hera’s powerful aura. He also went to Hephaestus’s side a lot, too.
When he was reached the age of Godhood, he and his brother spoke about what he should be God of. Anteros knew the answer immediately: the God of Love Returned, Unrequited Love and the Avenger of Love Scorned. Aphrodite approved and both went to the Olympians, where he showed the full scale of powers. He made Ares obsessed with his throne, Hera and Zeus lusty for one another and made his own mother cry over her faithlessness to Hephaestus. After everything was back to the way it was, Zeus rightly gave him his desired titles, thus he became a Godling.
One of his first acts as a Godling was to oversee the creation of Galatea. A man named Pygmalion of Cyprus worshipped Aphrodite and fell in love with the statues he had made with his own bare hands. He prayed to her, hoping that the Goddess would make his obsession come to life. In answer to his devoted prayers, his mother did indeed bring the statue to life. The statue was named Galatea and the Goddess of Love united the two in marriage. Anteros watched the whole thing in fascination. He had never seen his mother do this before. Over the next few months the young managed to find time to juggle between social life and his godly duties.
As he is the God of Love Scorned it was his duty to punish those who scorned love. One such incident was when Meles scorned Timagoras’s declarations of love. Meles mockingly ordered Timagoras to throw himself down from a tall rock. When he did this, Anteros was thoroughly enraged by this and made Meles feel so much guilt that he repented, throwing himself from the same rock. A few years later, Anteros helped his dear brother, Eros. Eros had fallen for a mortal woman named Psyche, who was deemed more beautiful than the Goddess of Love. Aphrodite, in a jealous fit of rage, ordered Eros to punish her by making her fall in love with a monster. However, when he went to her house, Eros pricked himself with one of his own arrows, falling for her. Not long after, Anteros discovered that Psyche was hidden in a beautiful palace – Eros had made him swear on the River Styx to not tell their mother. Reluctantly, he agreed. When Aphrodite did find out she was livid. Anteros had to stay in his palace to avoid her wrath. A little while later, Anteros decided to see how Psyche was doing. It seemed that Mother had set her some tasks to do so that she could prove herself to Aphrodite. Sometime later, when Eros had heard of the last task and that Psyche was nowhere to be seen, he had asked Anteros to help him look for her.
When Anteros had found her, he had sent a butterfly to fetch Eros. The two swapped places, and Anteros flew back to his palace with the butterflies. A few months later, Psyche was a fully-fledged Goddess, after being made immortal by Zeus and marrying Eros. Now, Anteros is spending time with Psyche and Eros and still managing his duties as a Godling.

The Underworld, where the dead go when they die. Where the heroic receive a blessed life of eternity and purely evil-hearted spend eternity doing horrific punishments for their deeds on Earth. The Lord of the Underworld was currently in his bedchambers trying to think of a lovely anniversary gift to give to his beloved wife: Persephone. It had been thirteen years since they had been married and Hades was still in love with her. Yes, he still felt guilt over making his sister weep over the loss of her daughter and thereby making no food grow but he had been lonely back then. Back then, his desire to have Persephone had outweighed the consequences he knew were sure to come.
He had gone through a dozen ideas but none seemed to have matched the love he felt for Persephone. True he had gone after two nymphs during one of their drier patches of marriages but Persephone had quickly reminded him that she was his wife and not to be taken lightly. So, from that moment on Hades had become a dutiful husband. This was rather infuriating! The Lord of Underworld could handle dishing out punishments perfectly well but when it came to his own wife, he became like a little schoolboy, who was afraid to do anything to displease his new friend!
Letting out a frustrated sigh, Hades decided to tend to some of his subjects; ones who had become lax as of late. That should put him in a better frame of mind to continue thinking of anniversary gifts. So, getting up from his bed, the Lord of the Underworld walked out of the room. It wasn’t long before he sensed a familiar aura. He smiled, knowing who it was. He saw a servant, and gave them a rare Hades smile. He said for them to go as he knew who it was. To make it quicker for him and his special guest, he shadow-travelled into the throne room, and walked in front of them. He embraced her in a loving hug.
“Mother, so good to see you. How are things?”
